Baur au Lac

Luxury & Comfortable Hotel with &Rest Service and Perfect Location in Zurich… Really enjoyed my staylll We will come back to Zurich soon.

Perfect for an overnight stop on our way to catch the Bernina Express. We stayed at the Baur au Lac and really liked it. The location is amazing — right on the lake and an easy walk to pretty much everything. The gardens and outdoor areas were honestly one of the best parts. We ended up hanging out there at the outdoor bar area more than we expected because it was just so pretty and relaxing. We even got to watch a wedding on the grounds. Our room was nice and comfortable with a good amount of space. Nothing felt worn out or tired, and we slept really well. The staff was great the whole time. Everyone was friendly and easy to talk to, and we never felt rushed or ignored. Breakfast was solid too — fresh options and good coffee - we were a bit rushed and the staff brought our cappuccinos out to us in to go cups as we were getting into our car. Overall, we had a really good experience here. It’s definitely a splurge, but it made our time in Zurich feel special. We’d stay again for sure.

The Baur au Lac is our home in Zurich. Every stay is a highlight. The charming staff provides a warm welcome and looks after every detail to make our stays memorable. The new Marguita Restaurant is a highlight in design, culinary experience with a warm yet uncomplicated service delivery. The Baur's Brasserie is a wonderful classic which we always enjoy to entertain our local friends starting with creative cocktails in the Baur's Bar. The location of the Baur au Lac is the best to experience Zürich's highlights. We will be back. Marie & Will

I have stayed in dozens of luxury city hotels around the world in 40 years of business and leisure travel. This hotel is as nice as any. Have ever stayed in. Beautiful room, very quiet and, with shades down at night, very dark to sleep. Terrific staff—friendly and efficient. Great location next to the lake and walking to downtown. Just great two night stay with my wife as we toured Switzerland.

This hotel has been family owned for 7 generations and was perfection in every sense of the world. The building and grounds were impeccable; the staff always called you by name; the room beautifully appointed and everything seemed to run on Swiss precision.
