Perfect location, Landmark in Zurich. Wonderful place to stay, great service, high quality Home away from Home!

I had best time in Bauer Au Lac, I choose it because of it’s reputation but they excited my expectations. I had such lovely time all hotel staff made me feel special in every corner of the hotel. Absolutely recommend it 🍀

Wonderful hotel but sadly with one short fall. Service at the reception (especially Vanessa), the concierge desk and the breakfast room are exceptional. We had a beautiful room and everything we ate and drank was wonderful. Sadly the lobby bar does not really keep up with the rest. Firstly it is important to know that you really need to book a place there a day in advance. If you do get a table do not expect prompt or even friendly service. At least we did not get that. My order of a cup of coffee took almost half an hour, the bill took even longer and both were delivered with attitude. The next morning it was the same moody attitude from different staff. Maybe it is best to grab a coffee somewhere else and enjoy everything else the hotel has to offer, because all the rest is great. We will come back but will give the lobby bar a miss.

Perfect for an overnight stop on our way to catch the Bernina Express. We stayed at the Baur au Lac and really liked it. The location is amazing — right on the lake and an easy walk to pretty much everything. The gardens and outdoor areas were honestly one of the best parts. We ended up hanging out there at the outdoor bar area more than we expected because it was just so pretty and relaxing. We even got to watch a wedding on the grounds. Our room was nice and comfortable with a good amount of space. Nothing felt worn out or tired, and we slept really well. The staff was great the whole time. Everyone was friendly and easy to talk to, and we never felt rushed or ignored. Breakfast was solid too — fresh options and good coffee - we were a bit rushed and the staff brought our cappuccinos out to us in to go cups as we were getting into our car. Overall, we had a really good experience here. It’s definitely a splurge, but it made our time in Zurich feel special. We’d stay again for sure.
