La Reserve Eden au Lac Zurich

No contest best hotel in Zurich. Quintessentially Swiss. From the design to the location to the service La Reserve exudes stealth wealth. Go for the corner room with wrap around terrace facing Lac Zurich -- you won't be disappointed. The service from the moment you step foot on the property to the moment you leave is incredible, genuine, personal. Luxury materials -- dark, sexy mood, cool, textural, opulent. The private gym on 2nd floor is small and well done and you also have access to an incredible full service spa gym in the neighbourhood. Sushi restaurant is worth mentioning on the top floor, too. Breakfast (and waiter) also noteworthy. Overall a five star luxe experience. Highly recommend. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Zurich.

I’ve been a lot of times on the roof top bar, but first time staying at the hotel. We had a fantastic upgrade to room with a lake view 🤗 fabulous, thank you very much! The front office team all of them were super kind and attentive to our wishes! Highlight for me was also the breakfast, perfect service, the best French toast ever and Kristina was the best ♥️

La Reserve is ideally located within easy walking distance of Old Town, multiple transport options and on the River. Service is commensurate with five star properties, and the on-site Michelin star restaurant is an excellent option. Room was small, but beautifully appointed - a bit tight for a work trip with no desk, but we were traveling for leisure staying two nights. We booked through American Express travel platform and received benefits of the Fine Hotels & Resorts offer. We even received a bottle of rather good champagne and chocolates as a welcome gift for the room type we booked. The main glitch was our checkin/check out experience. Our reservation was erroneously entered into the system on the hotel side (1 night in system versus the 2 nights we'd prepaid). It was rectified at check-in when I showed our original reservation confirmation, but there was also an issue at check-out given the original error when they showed an invoice for the second night. Again, it was rectified when I showed the original prepaid reservation for two nights. For the quality of hotel, I had not anticipated the same issue upon check-out. Otherwise, service was great and it's a beautiful hotel overall. Hotel is pricey and value for money will heavily depend on what you prioritize/willing to pay extra for.

Beautiful and unique hotel right on the lake. The interiors feel like a sailing yacht and everything feels thoughtful and seamless. The welcome was very personal and caring and the view from the room was spectacular. The food was also amazing especially the famous burger and the room service breakfast. Thank you to the whole team!
