Eden Hotel Zutphen

The room is nicely decorated - and the hotel is whithin walking distance of the train station. The only minor thing is the small shower head. Breakfast is excellent! And service at breakfast and reception is lovely and with a smile! The bar and restaurant had decent prices but only I went for a drink (or 2) and they served me nuts with it, so this is a plus for me.

I last came here 6 years ago. Still delivering a great level of service and it was another seamless trip. Great consistency! I definitely recommend it to anyone passing through this town, excellent location and good friendly service, nothing much else needed!

Entrance is nice and staff is friendly The rooms on the other hand are completely outdated. Bathroom, small, single sink, toilet in bathroom, bath with non adaptable shower head. The antique type of hair-dryer hanging there, i hadn’t t seen anymore for 15 years... completely old fashioned and useless Bed-comfort was ok, but also room very outdated. Coffee and tea in room, no water though. Rooms come with carton walls... every sound can be heard, so be prepared for an involuntary wake up in the morning. Parkin outside to be paid separately. Grand old building, but rooms don't correspond with the style. Room we had was smallish, felt like cabin on cruise ship. Small but modern bathroom. Very comfortable beds, windows open, ample closet space, no decor to remember. Excellent "Dutch" buffet breakfast. No hotel parking. Walking distance to everything with downtown location and a museum is part of the hotel complex.

I stayed there in the summertime (COVID rule period) about 4 nights. The building is so nice with history(If you read about it before you stay here). So, Breakfast does not make me happy as I wish but it's ok. a room is not so big with 1 bath tab. Anyway, it's comfy to stay but after stayed and I got experienced with all service. it did not reward to be a 4-star hotel. I think just 3 star is enough :)
