Currently some areas of the main house under contruction but did not interfere with our overnight stay. Room was very clean. Our bed and pillows were comfy and had a good night sleep. Only issues with the room- poor lighting in room and bathroom to apply make-up and very tight bathroom. Enjoyed the afternnon delicious cookies and tea, early evening cheese sausage snacks, evening desserts ( 4 options) and breakfast was wonderful. Beverly great job and loved your homemade biscuits. We would return again.

Derelict conditions. Front of building being held up by a 2x10. Carpet old and damp. Have to enter through the back - through the industrial kitchen.

My husband and I stayed at the Rhett House in on Friday, January 9th. This was our 3rd visit to The Rhett House and were excited for another visit to Beaufort. We booked Room 9 in the main house. When we arrived we were told we were in the cottages Room 18. We mentioned at the front desk that we thought we were in the main building the person said, "No you're in the cottages". After we dropped of our bags, my husband double checked our reservation and sure enough our confirmation was for the main building Room 9. We went back to the front desk to inquire what happened and we were told that Room 9 wasn't available due to construction. When we asked why we weren't notified, we were told we had to contact the manager to discuss anything. We were also told she was very busy & hard to get a hold of. I sent an email to the manager that night to let her know about our disappointment. We got a response back saying due to safety reasons we were moved (fair enough) and she pointed out in the fine print of our reservation that the hotel doesn't guarantee a specific room (even though they let you choose one). My issue is not that they had to move us, it's the complete lack of acknowledgement of the staff that we were moved. No compensation was offered or even a friendly gesture. It could have been a glass or wine, chocolates in the room, or an offer of a home baked dessert. Instead it was up to us prove that something had changed. It really didn't sit well. Kind of ruined our whole evening. Actually it caused us to look around and notice other issues that showed a lack of detail... creaky bed, chipped soap dishes and peeling laminate on the bathroom cabinets. I'll add that breakfast was a highlight. Nice staff and very good food. We won't be returning to The Rhett House Inn.

I always stay here when I come to Beaufort. The Inn is amazing and Beverly’s blueberry pancakes are the BEST and keep me coming back!

We stepped into heaven on Earth. Our room, in the “Cottage” was decorated in gorgeous blues and white, with fine antique furnishings. In the bathroom was a huge whirlpool bath. The coffee station was loaded with a variety of of Kcups, and bottled water to make the coffee. We enjoyed homemade (semi homemade) desserts, and were sorry we missed afternoon cookie and wine and cheese times. Breakfast, which was solid, is included in the room fee. The library is gorgeous, and the staff are quite friendly. We got a fabulous deal - about $167 - because it was low season and there is construction outside the main house. I cannot wait to return.

The Rhett House Inn was fabulous! The staff was very friendly and really made us feel at home. You can easily walk to restaurants and to the waterfront; the beach, Paris Island and Savannah are within easy driving distance.
