About the Hotel

Armed with AAA Four-Diamond status and an envious New England location, the Bedford Village Inn was once the site of an 1800s working farm. After undergoing a multi-million dollar restoration, the farm was put out to pasture, and in its place emerged an elegant and lovely New Hampshire hideaway. The original barn features 14 well-appointed guest rooms that retain the charm of a bygone era yet offer all of today's modern conveniences. There is also a separate 8-room cottage that evokes the feel of a plush personal sanctuary. Each of the inn's chambers contains its own set of fabulous amenities, such as wet bars, outdoor decks and spacious sitting areas warmed by crackling fireplaces. All share some common features too, such as four-poster king-size beds, bathrooms graced with roomy whirlpool baths, Italian marble and polished brass accents, flat-panel HDTVs, DVD entertainment systems and high-speed internet access.

Hidden Gem - Luxury services with distinctive New England charm.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

This is a locally owned property that is clearly a passion project for the owners. It it’s a distinctly New Hampshire hotel that offers everything you’d expect from a 4 Diamond or 4 Star hotel with some extra touches thrown in. First, the rooms are generous in size and spotlessly clean. Mine had a gas fireplace and a huge soaking tub. The beds are large with great pillows and comfortable soft linens. There were two large chairs for comfortable sitting. The heat and ac are an individually controlled hidden mini-split. This gives you the quickly responsive control of those things that sit in the window without all the noise. The bathroom had great robes, clean fresh towels, and excellent shampoos. There was also a really nice bath mat by the sink and one for the tub. This was one of many small extras that you wouldn’t see at a corporate run hotel. Similarly there was a very nice makeup mirror. Most hotels will put in the absolutely lowest cost mirror to meet the brand standards. This one was the kind an owner would use herself. The restaurants on site are really good. The fish I had was clearly fresh and the soufflé was top notch. It’s a good idea to make reservations as the dining options are clearly popular with local residents. There is a modest fitness room -the basics you need to keep in shape. I also signs for a pool but that was not on my mind for November in New England. There was a nice turndown service which included some delicious cookies bedside. The property is a quick drive to the attractions in Manchester and not probably a bit over an hour into the heart of Boston. What is really unique about this property is that it feels like you are is guest at someone’s fancy mountain lodge. The decorations are not the standard corporate fare picked all once by some design consultant for a major chain. This hotel looks like the owners have acquired things they like with a distinctive New England flare over the years. There’s a clear point of view and it’s fun. You’ll pay a few bucks extra to stay here vs some box with a bed in town. I was on the fence and quite happy I decided to stay here.

Exceptional quality and service. I can't say enough about how well this place feels. Maybe not a Ritz Carlton, but they come very close, and even better if you are looking for something more intimate.

Stayed here for my son’s college graduation

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 7 months ago

We came here for my son’s college graduation. We were greeted with chilled champagne upon our arrival. The room was beautiful-spacious-decorated beautifully-the bathroom layout was modern and clean! The bar/restaurant was really nice too. We sat inside one night and outside the other. The staff was really friendly and helpful. I like having the bar/restaurant right in the main part of the hotel so we do not feel stuck only in our room when visiting with family. They even have a little library room with comfy couches if you do not want to sit at the bar or go in the restaurant. My son and I used the workout room which was really nice and clean. The pool was closed but it looked like it would be beautiful when opened. We would highly recommend this hotel and would love to stay here again!

We've just returned from our fall visit to the Bedford Village Inn with a Luxury Link package (our third!). The property and grounds are beautiful, the staff are most accommodating and the food was fabulous! We are truly hoping to make another trip to this Inn and enjoy more of the wonderful sightseeing in New Hampshire!
