Camden Harbour Inn

Stayed at this Inn a few days go for 2 nights. During a 10 day trip up the coast of New England we stayed at 5 different upscale inns and of the 5, this was the most expensive and was the only one that disappointed us. Just to clarify, this inn houses the restaurant Natalie’s which was the best restaurant dinner and breakfast we had the entire trip. The staff at Natalie’s are exceptional, so our rating is exclusively about the hotel. The staff of the hotel are a much more mixed bag. Our room, which cost roughly $920 a night, had a carpet that was badly stained. The stains were different colors and in many spots around the room. The carpet itself was worn, suggesting that its condition was not due to one recent guest. I reported this to the individual attending the desk, who basically shrugged. Upon check out, I said the same thing to a different staff member, again, with very little concern shown. In addition, the hotel has a bit of a bay view, through trees and houses, but probably not from most rooms, and is not on the bay itself. Its public space is rather small (and one night was really inaccessible due to a large dinner being housed there). Bottom line, not worth the money, but definitely book Natalie’s for dinner.

This hotel is a must stay. The staff are so attentive and the hotel is one of the best hotels we have stayed at anywhere we have traveled. The room we had was amazing from the personal sauna and steam shower. We had a room with a separate seating area which was so nice to have. The restaurant was amazing and dining staff was amazing. I can’t say enough about the hotel. My only gripe is that since it’s an older building I would suggest staying on 3rd floor if you don’t want to hear people walking in room above you.

Absolutely wonderful! The Camden Harbour is a rare combination of classic/cozy New England inn, combined with modern, beautifully furnished rooms. and whimsical touches like the lobby candy room. The staff was what you would expect at a small luxury inn with the likes of Gilbert, Darko, Diana, Sven et al, providing first rate, personable/professional service with an international flair, from the moment we arrived to our departure. Breakfast on the lanai was a perfect way to start the day and although there are less expensive places to have dinner in Camden, do it right and reserve a table at Natalie's to cap off a wonderful stay. You will be glad you did!

One of the best accommodations and service I've ever experienced. Every staff member treated us as family and were always there to serve. Homey atmosphere with special amenities (24 hour tea, coffee and treats) located in cozy "living room" lobby. Excellent restaurant and bar as part of the property and walking distance to town. Rooms are comfortable and clean - beds assure a good night's sleep. Wish we had spent more time there.

Everything about this place is awesome. The people who work there are very helpful and kind. The food great and the Inn is just a few steps from the beautiful harbor. Hope to definitely return and bring the entire family.
