Reviews for French Quarter Inn

Pure Southern Hospitality. You’ve got to go!

My friend and I spent four wonderful nights at this charming Inn for a girl’s weekend. Everything was perfect. We were greeted with champagne. The lobby has a candy bar (jelly beans, m&m’s, Boston baked beans, etc) 24/7 with plenty of places to sit for breakfast, games, etc. There was always seltzer, water, and more to drink if you were thirsty. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Happy hour consisted of a large variety of wine, cheese, crackers, and more. One night when we got back after happy hour, the bar tender gave us each a glass of wine because we missed it. At night, we were treated to cookies in the lobby and chocolate near our beds. The front desk staff were full of great suggestions and were very helpful. Even the other guests were very friendly. Although it rained almost every day, we had a great time. The Inn sits in a great location walkable to almost everything. I would definitely come back and recommend the French Quarter Inn to everyone.

French Quarter Inn is fabulous!

This was a return stay at the French Quarter Inn with another couple. This venue does not disappoint from the glass of prosecco offered at check in until check out with the valet for our car. It's top notch all the way, with the included breakfast and wine an cheese hour. Our room was lovely and clean and the location of this Inn is wonderful to explore Charleston by foot. We won't be staying anywhere besides the French Quarter Inn on our next visit to Charleston!

Great hotel & staff!

One of the best hotels we’ve experienced. Lots of special benefits like complimentary breakfast, complimentary wine and finger food at 5:30, and 8:30 cookies & milk. Very nice touch! Rooms are spacious & well appointed. Location is quite convenient to market and King Street.

A perfect stay – hospitality at its finest

From the moment we arrived at The French Quarter Inn in Charleston, we were treated like cherished guests rather than just visitors. The staff is nothing short of exceptional-warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making your stay unforgettable. Every detail here is thoughtful and charming. Breakfast each morning was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The afternoon wine and cheese felt like a special treat, and the evening cookies, milk, and coffee were the perfect way to wind down after exploring the city. During our trip, we had an unexpected issue with our next destination. The manager and team at The French Quarter Inn went above and beyond to accommodate us, allowing us to extend our stay without a hitch. Their kindness and quick action turned what could have been a stressful situation into a comforting and memorable experience. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and welcoming-but it’s truly the people here who make the difference. I have nothing but praise for this hotel and its staff. We can’t wait to return!

Charleston's top-rated hotel

If you are visiting Charleston, South Carolina, you can't beat the French Quarter Inn for location, luxury, ambiance, comfort and cleanliness. Located at 166 Church Street, at Linguard and Market Streets, overlooking the history Charleston City Market, near tourist-happy Bay Street, this 50-room boutique hotel offers complimentary breakfast, fitness center, lobby bar, gift shop/newsstand, spa, business center, concierge, 24-hour front desk, room service, dry cleaning/laundry service, valet parking, free high speed internet access and a courtyard terrace. I chose a Traditional King Room with king-sized bed, cable/satellite flatscreen TV, telephone, free wi-fi access, Blu-ray DVD player, marble bathroom, mini-refrigerator, microwave, in-room safe, bath/shower, desk, iron/ironing board and air conditioning. After a buffet breakfast of scrambled eggs, strawberries, apples, bananas, an English muffin with jam and a big glass of fresh squeezed orange juice, then a leisurely walk to the nearby waterfront, it's off for a long day of sight-seeing.

I am a former chef and am now a catering director at a private country club. Being extremely picky and wanting the best possible accommodations and food - we were nothing but happy with French Quarter Inn!

My wife and I stayed at the French Quarter Inn on a Monday and Tuesday evening. As our second visit to Charleston, we wanted to enjoy the Battery area history and restaurants for a couple days. French Quarter Inn was fantastic! The staff really set the stage for a memorable and rejuvenating visit. Charleston really is a unique and wonderful city, and I highly recommend the French Quarter Inn for helping us take a little of Charleston with us.
