HarbourView Inn

Rooms were nicely appointed, clean. The hotel is ideally situated near the market which is pretty much walking distance to pretty much everything. But what really sets this apart is a wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. Need beach chairs and towels….they will help Need recommendations on a restaurant… they will help Need anything at all…they will help I tend to travel a lot and this was the best experience with a staff that I’ve ever seen… Bravo

I'm honestly a little ashamed I haven't posted a review yet. We've stayed at the Harbourview Inn for 1-2 nights every year for the last 3 years (about to arrive for our 4th year in a row). It's just an absolutely wonderful place. The location is perfect, especially if you have kids wanting to play in the fountain. The layout of the hotel is lovely, quaint, and luxurious. The rooms and amenities are particularly impressive. And lastly, but possibly most importantly, EVERYONE who works there is so kind and helpful. They honestly treat you like royalty, so much so that I don't feel deserving of it. I just called to make a special request for our rooms ahead of our arrival tomorrow (spoke with Doug), and they're so good about making you feel acknowledged and following through on their word. Right from check-in, everything beyond exceeded hopes and expectations. Davis was so kind and helpful with our cart racks and vehicles. Jodi has been there the last two times we’ve stayed, and she treats us like family, we and our kids adore her! And Peyton and Julie were on evening shift and took such good care of us during the afternoon and evening both nights. We’ve appreciated being able to stop by and chat in our way out from and back to the hotel, they make us feel so comfortable during our stay. And Collin helped us make the easiest departure possible during a total monsoon. Truly can’t say enough about this place and especially the people that work there. I expect we'll be coming back here every year for years to come!

We LOVED our stay, our second time at The HarbourView Inn, and we regretted not booking the entire trip here. This time, we started our visit at both Marriott properties in town, The Lindy and the Grand Bohemian, staying “free” on points. Never again. We were so disappointed in both that we decided it was time to return to a tried-and-true favorite. Everything about The HarbourView Inn is perfect. From the warm welcome of Doug (I believe that’s his name, he was here in April when we stayed as well), to the free valet parking, to the amazing wine and cheese happy hour, it all feels special. Breakfast is absolutely delectable and served wherever we like, in our room, in the common areas, you name it. Our room’s beautiful view and Juliet balcony made it even better (yes, the view is still gorgeous despite the newly erected building nearby). We couldn’t have been happier. The only downside? We should have booked our entire week here instead of “suffering” at the Marriott properties. You live and learn!

We had a great stay at the HarbourView Inn, Charleston, S.C. I grew up in Charleston and went back to see family and friends. The staff at the hotel could not have been more helpful. They instantly made me and my young family feel welcomed. The location is perfect. It is next to all the best restaurants in town like Magnolia, SNOB, High Cotton, and Amen Street, and Hall's Chop House. And it overlooks the Waterfront Park. The area surrounding the hotel is safe and inviting. Going forward we will stay at the HarbourView every time we come back to Charleston! Bert Hensley

We had another great stay at the Harbourview Inn. The rooms are beautiful and well appointed, the staff is all exceptionally friendly and helpful, and they have lots of little touches that create a boutique hotel experience: tea, fruit-infused water, and snacks out all day, a wine and cheese hour, and milk and cookies before bed (all complimentary). We can’t wait for our next visit!
