HarbourView Inn

We stayed here last October, so yes, almost a year ago, but better a late review than no review!!! We had EXCEPTIONAL service. The staff was so friendly and helpful, as well as professional. We were welcomed in such a warm way, by all the staff, but especially Doug, that we felt like we were in the lap of Southern hospitality as soon as we set foot in this hotel. Room was lovely and comfortable, location was perfection by the water, everything we wanted to do was walking distance, more or less. The snacks and drinks at happy hour were so fun and added some merriment to our stay. I travel quite a bit, typically for just a weekend here and there, so I have enough exposure to hotels and hotel staff to confidently say that the level of service stood out. And the building itself is unique with lovely little details. We would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat.

From the moment you pull up to valet park you are treated as special visitors! You can have a rooftop breakfast or on your room, happy wine hour, warm cookies at night! The rooms are beautiful and all your needs are met. We have stayed here many times and always feel the warm welcome on our return!

We had the best time celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary at the Harbour View Inn. We were well taken care of by the staff. Complimentary breakfast delivered to our room every morning was delicious. They also offer a Wine and Cheese hour and Milk and Cookies every night. The location is great with many attractions and so much history to see within walking distance. We were definitely be back.

My wife and I stayed at the HarbourView Inn for two nights on the end of a family vacation in Hilton Head. Upon our arrival we were greeted by the valet and the front desk staff. I must point out that throughout our stay every staff member we interacted with was friendly, polite and extremely helpful. We were in the historic wing of the hotel with a window overlooking Vendue Range and the Fountain at the entrance of Waterfront Park. The room was spacious and extremely comfortable. The amenities provided to gusts were excellent. We took advantage of the Continental Breakfast (delivered to the rooftop terrace) in the morning. The Wine & Cheese event at five o'clock offered an excellent variety of wines and cheese and the cookies later in the evening were very good. We had no issues with noise or security of the hotel. The location is great, the city is very walkable. The HarbourView Inn is a great place to enjoy the history and charm of Charleston.

The Harbor View feels more like a luxury resort than a hotel. The perfect location, very welcoming staff! It is 100’ away from the Waterfront Park and Harbor and 100’ from East Bay Street, which has the best roof top bars and restaurants in CHS!! We enjoyed the “happy hour” wine and appetizers on the hotel's rooftop terrace overlooking the park, the Harbor and Ashely River Bridge. A great place to stay if you are visiting CHS as a destination, or, an overnight like we were. We stayed an extra night and will stay here again next time we need the perfect Charleston Retreat!!
