I spent two nights here last week as I needed a real "getaway" from the city and some time to hike, eat and simply relax. I had first been recommended The Red Clover by friends as an excellent option for a ski season stay. Upon doing more research, I saw they were open for summer bookings and it didn't disappoint. Owner and host Venetia greeted me with such positive vibes and was super helpful over the course of my visit. I chose to stay in the Ben Flint Room and opened the door to a spacious, high ceilinged space with king bed, couch and every amenity I could have asked for (sizable fridge/freezer, coffee maker and microwave). There was a large "spa" tub on lower level (I didn't use but imagine perfect for winter nights) and a separate shower/bathroom. The view from Ben Flint was so peaceful with green fields and forest in distance. Importantly for me, the bed was super comfortable and slept like a baby. Day 1, Venetia suggested a nearby hike as I wanted to be out most of the day exercising and exploring Vermont. I spent a few hours hiking Deer Leap Trail/Mountain which provided incredible views. There were also rock climbing sections for those with equipment but I chose the walking trail. I went into nearby Rutland for dinner at Tokyo House (also one of her recommendations) as I love sushi and was a satisfying ending to the day. Day 2, I went over to explore/swim in Lake Dunmore after long hike exploring the Falls of Lana and other surrounding areas. I would visit Lake Dunmore again for day trip with family/friends for safe swimming plus picnic area. From there I headed into town of Brandon and stopped off at Park 22 Eatery and enjoyed incredible steak and cheese sandwich, Maine lunch pint and chilled enjoying the scene. Thought I would share my thoughts and experience as I left recharged and feeling positive!

We had a wonderful stay at the Red Clover Inn this summer! Our family of five stayed in the Farmhouse with our three children, and it was exactly the peaceful retreat we needed. The Farmhouse had plenty of room for everyone to spread out while still feeling warm and cozy. The grounds are beautiful, and there was no shortage of outdoor activities for the kids to enjoy. It was such a refreshing break from city life with quiet mornings, fresh air, and a relaxing atmosphere that made it easy to unplug and reconnect as a family. The property is charming, well maintained, and perfectly situated for exploring Vermont while also being a destination in itself. If you’re looking for a peaceful family getaway, a couples’ retreat, or simply a place to slow down and enjoy nature, I highly recommend the Red Clover Inn. We left feeling refreshed and would happily stay again!

Wow, what an amazing place. This is my second time coming to the Red Clover for a business retreat and it was just perfect. The location and ambiance are really special. The space is ideal for collaborating with colleagues as well as spacing out in small groups. We were able to work hard and play hard, combining some outdoor adventures for team building, and relaxing in the most comfortable bed after enjoying a campfire with s'mores. The meals were so great, thoughtfully planned. The place is spotless. and the surroundings are so peaceful. Thank you to the amazing host Venetia and her staff. This place is a gem!!!

We had a very pleasant stay at the Red Clover Inn. Our spacious room with a big tub within the room and a private balcony with a beautiful view was the perfect setup to relax, recharge, and reconnect with nature. Only short drives away are many options for activities like hiking, biking and indoor rock climbing at the Green Mountain Rock Climbing Center in Rutland.
