Worst Stay in Wine Country EVER

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

This review is for room #1. Room #1 is located on the first floor of the main building just off of a common area where you get coffee and other drinks. The room appeared to be great, until you start to look at the details. The room is a bit shabby mostly due to the shower. They don’t show you the shower in the pictures of the room, but it’s old and dated. The water pressure was all over the place and there were flies in the room, which is not the best impression. After check-in I went back to ask Joyce (the person that checked us in) if she could help us with reservations for my husbands birthday and she said she was busy at the moment and I should try back tomorrow, really? You can’t write this down and leave a note for someone in the morning? WTF. The next morning I saw someone waiting patiently for someone to show up at the front desk for help, ridiculous. The worst part of this room is that the door is a joke. It’s off kilter and there is a gap at the top of the door so you can hear EVERYTHING!!! Starting at 6 am. We didn’t sleep at all because you can also hear every word being said in the room upstairs along with every other sound. They have a white noise machine in the room which doesn’t even begin to cover the sound. Moving on to breakfast…you may or may not receive what you actually ordered. I only stayed 3 nights and they messed up my breakfast order 2 out of 3 days. Also, it’s diner food. So be prepared for greasy overcooked eggs and potatoes. FYI room #2 is right next to #1 and it’s clear that it has the same problems.

Amazing, romantic retreat in Napa

Awesome experience start to finish. Easy check-in, daily wine and cheese at 4pm, and always-available port tasting station. Grounds are beautiful overlooking the river with lounge chairs, and water features. The room was spacious, comfortable, tech-enabled with iPad to order room sentence, not to mention fire pit outside our room on the patio with complimentary snores kits from the front desk. They also offered in-room massage treatment.

Outstanding anniversary getaway!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Rooms were well appointed, especially Ascher, where we stayed! Staff was amazing. Considerable effort was evident on attention to details. Everyone made us feel welcome, relaxed and comfortable. The turndown service with specialty chocolates and tea lights was a special treat. Wine and cheese hour great each day. Did I say anything about the breakfast served in our room? Top notch. Gas firepits scattered around the property allowed us to have privacy while sharing the space with others. Having the option of music in our room through the property's sound system was a nice touch and they shared their playlists with us when asked. Rooms refreshed everyday. They even provided specialty soaps and shampoos. What's not to love!

Loved every minute

Highly recommend and what a gem to find. it was certainly 5 star service. The hotel is beautiful and set in grounds down to the creek. Laretta and Missy went above and beyond to make our stay and trips run smoithly. Our room was well presented and spotlessly clean. The products in the room were high brands. The breakfast was delicious and early evening they had a cheese and wine platter in the Liounge area for all guests along with a glass of wine. Louise and Graham

40th Anniversary

We celebrated our 40th Wedding Anniversary in Napa. Staying at Milliken Creek Inn was definitely one of the highlights of the trip. The inn is incredibly beautiful and the staff is very friendly. We enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again in the future.
