White House Inn & Spa

An excellent stay near Downtown Napa. A Bed and Breakfast in a large handsome old Napa city mansion which has been very recently renovated. Quiet residential Napa neighborhood close to downtown. Large lot with beautifully manicured landscape and plenty of parking. Two EV Plus car chargers on property. All new fixtures throughout the rooms and property. Plugs and plumbing all recently upgraded. Electronic code locks for all rooms and brass security flipper on room doors. Additional electronic door lock for front door. Heated in-ground pool and in-ground hot tub in the backyard. Unfortunately the pool was not heated during our stay, but supposedly is normally set to 86 degrees. The in-ground hot tub is the newest and cleanest in-ground I have ever seen. It had subway tile accents around the rim and many warm water jets built in. The hot tub was a nice warm 103 degrees during our stay. Pool and hot tub are open 24 hrs. Housekeeping was surprisingly available as late as 2 pm. High quality high efficiency in-room split Mitsubishi AC wall unit. Good dense blackout shade for window, lets in some light on the edges. Multiple new outlets available bedside. Full length mirror on wall. Excellent new in-room shower with great water flow, great water pressure, no temperature variation, and nicely tiled with a seat. It could use a long hand bar for non-slip safety. Reasonable speed WiFi available in-room. We stayed in Room 11 on the second floor. Good stair access is available to second and third floors, but no elevators are available. Almost new very high quality California King bed in-room. Better get your buffet breakfast at 8:30 am, as it is a first come, first serve, good quality limited selection buffet.

From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how clean and well-maintained everything was. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and very spacious. We stayed in a room with a private balcony, which was one of our favorite parts—it was the perfect place to relax with coffee in the morning or unwind in the evening. I would definitely recommend booking a balcony room if possible. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home while still respecting our privacy. The food was a highlight of our stay. The chef was fantastic and went above and beyond to accommodate my husband, who has celiac disease. She even baked special gluten-free bread for him and regularly prepared gluten-free treats so he could fully enjoy the experience. Breakfast each morning was fresh, healthy, and delicious, with a great variety and the option to request special dishes. The grounds were beautiful, peaceful, and very private. We also loved the wine hour from 5–6 PM, which included a generous charcuterie spread and excellent wine. The location is great as well—you can easily bike or walk into town. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it. We will definitely book the White House again on our next visit.

We had a truly wonderful weekend! The accommodations and staff were outstanding. The chef was not only super talented, but she was also so very thoughtful and accommodated my Gluten allergy. Thank you so much! The grounds are well maintained and having access to a pool and hot tub was a bonus. The location is also a short walk to town. We highly recommend the White House Napa.

Lovely white building that's a perfect cross between a bed and breakfast and hotel. Our 3rd stay. 4.5 stars Highlights: - Beautiful property with the room, breakfast area, pool, and seating in the front. - Hot tub and pool open anytime so fun for post-dinner. - Rooms with fireplace - Comfortable beds and bedding: so cozy you don't want to leave - Wonderful location with a short walk to downtown Napa. - Wine hour: to enjoy a glass anywhere on the property. Also mimosas with breakfast. - Customer service: when I was given a different room than I received, they made efforts to rectify it. Midlights: - 1 employee taking care of monitoring brunch trying to make coffee for everyone plus answering the phone at the same time Lowlights: - Stairs only so harder with larger luggage - Spread for breakfast significantly downsized post-Covid. Used to be so impressive and also had higher quality teas.

WHN is a beautiful inn in downtown Napa. The location doesn’t get better and the service and staff are amazing. We love staying at the White House when we go up to Napa! Thank you Briana and the rest of the staff!!
