Love The Allison! Definitely ranks up there with the best of the 5 Star Hotels/Resorts! Amazing value for the money! Gorgeous grounds and delicious food too!

The very best hotel, food and accommodations in the Willamette Valley! The food was on par for 5 star Michelin, service and the rooms where the cleanest I have experienced in a very long time.

Summary: Glad I went. Great food. Might go again. The Good: Rooms were impressive (and I'm hard to impress), clean, spacious and well laid out. Comfortable size table, and a little sink/coffee bar area. The gas fireplace with thermostat was really a good bonus and added ambiance. Good territorial views from 3rd floor, awesome window reading bench. Giant bathroom but a little waste of space though plenty of counter space and a huge built in lamp mirror. Nice little exterior balcony porch. Not sure if the rooms are worth $500/night but that I suppose is the diminishing returns phenomenon for luxury. Restaurant was fantastic but spendy. $400 for dinner for 3 of us with drinks and an appetizer and shared desert. But I was able to try Fois Gras and the Waygu and Kobe steak was some of the best beef I'd ever had. The salmon actually was the best restaurant prepared salmon I'd ever had. The piano lounge was entertaining and relaxing. It could usea few extra cushy love seats for couples. The Burn Ban drink with crystal clear giant ice cube and burnt rosemary sprig is a new favorite cocktail. (inhale deeply while sipping and put the sprig in the drink for even more smokeyness). The other listed cocktails, sorta meh. Didn't try the lemon drop. The pool room was clean and beautiful designed. My wife and daughter really enjoyed the spa, pedicures and meditation thing. Staff were very pleasant and noticeably professional. Bad: The "Do not disturb" signs fall off the door handle everytime we open the door. The shower could have used more cleaning and had calcium deposits under temp valve lever and in door hinges. Bath floor tile grout was stained dark. Indoor pool while nice, was a little short to swim laps. Gym room was small and not real well equipped but OK. I wish the patio outside the piano lounge had infrared heaters so we could have been comfortable out there on a chilly evening (note my wife says they might have been there but not on?). Also a couple chairs and a bench for luggage by the main entrance to use while waiting for the car would be nice. There also weren't a lot of "guy activities", just spa stuff. Trap shooting, golf, carburator rebuilding lessons, archery, something, anything non spa guy things would be nice to have alternatives. How about a cigar bar or library with bar service? Ugly: Only ugly part was that the hvac would every 20-30 minutes or so it seemed, make a series of popping, creaking noises all day and all night. Happened in both rooms. It was not so bad that we couldn't sleep but not what I'd expect of a luxury hotel at $500. Oh, and the samsung big screen tv, while a good pitcure , you can't cast your own shows to them and I found the remote very clunky, slow reacting and hard to get comfortable using. Trying to surf channels was painful. Last nit pick was the coffee bar sink in room would blast water all over the place. While I usually like high water pressure, you need the room to accomodate it and that isn't the case there.

The Alison Inn and Spa is an absolutely lovely place to stay! We had been here two year ago, and I must say that the service has been even better than the last time we were here. The front desk staff are friendly, warm and welcoming! The food at the Jory Restaurant was outstanding, each dish presented artistically, explained so well by the server, and the flavors were excellent! Clearly, the Jory has changed and improved its menu since the last we were here. The food servers were also very friendly, prompt, helpful, and made our dining experience so comfortable. The room was also clean, modern, and supplied with all that is needed for a.luxurious stay. We will be back!! Thank you so much!
