When it opened in 1873, The Chanler at Cliff Walk was a mecca in Newport, Rhode Island for financiers, industrialists and tycoons. Great place for afternoon cocktails
We just had cocktails and and hot chocolate. The service bartender and Cocktails were superb. Would definitely go back!

You must stay at the Chanler!
We have stayed at 5-star hotels in many countries, but nobody does it like the Chanler. Every single person you encounter has the highest level of professionalism and attention to every detail.

The authentic "guest experience".
Pricey but worth it for a truly premium experience. One of those rare hotels where they make you feel truly welcome and bend over backwards to make your visit memorable. We have stayed at many top tier hotels throughout the world and the Chanler is definitely in our top 5. We will most definitely be repeat customers.

My husband and I just returned from a 3-night stay at The Chanler at Cliff Walk. Our stay was fabulous as was the staff, the Spiced Pear Restaurant and our room. It is located perfectly at the beginning of Cliff Walk and has great access to all the mansions. We have used Luxury Link many times and our stay at The Chanler was one of our best. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone!
