Reviews for The Inn at Perry Cabin

WAY Overpriced -never coming back again

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

I don't think I've ever spent close to $700 a night but I thought what the heck, let's see what we get. First, the views are great and the people working there are very nice. But when we first arrived, after a long drive there was no coffee, no hot water, and cold decaf. That thing should be checked and filled regularly, even Holiday Inn Express knows that. Then, there were like 0 activities, for that price, there should be more than a champagne toast at 5. The pool was ok, not heated and the locker rooms the steam room was closed when I got there. I thought for $700 a night the beds must be super comfortable - nope - they are similar to what you would get at Motel 6 but with nicer comforters. The shower did not drain in our room. We went to the STARS restaurant which was pretty good except the appetizer had to be redone because it was cold. At a five-star restaurant, I had to ask them to wipe the table down before dessert which they did but left it wet. I do not understand why people would pay this much money to stay here.

Eastern Shore Perfection

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

The Inn at Perry Cabin is the definition of First Class Luxury. From the moment you turn into the tree lined driveway - you are immersed with beauty, class and an elevated experience that I cannot wait to return to! The property is meticulously maintained - with incredible grounds to walk around and truly unwind. The setting on the Miles River is truly breath-taking with Adirondack Chairs perfect for taking a moment, reading a book or having a drink. The staff was top notch - a few to mention by name: Tanner was great providing us a ride into town and some great recommendations. Mary Kate at the front desk was super sweet and helped us out with a request. Mike led the monkey knot class and was a lot of fun (and patient!). The Pool area was crowded, but relaxing and nice - great loungers and umbrellas. Room 32 - was UNREAL - overlooking the entire back property with direct views of the River, lawns etc. All in all - this is a great place to stop, breathe and just enjoy some peace. I highly recommend this for a nice Eastern Shore getaway.

Grounds and staff make this resort top-tier

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

If you’re looking for relaxation, this is the place! Regardless of your room’s location, the property offers incredible views of the Miles River. If your pocketbook cannot afford the view you want, you’ll be able to take it all in with a stroll of the grounds. Although some previous negative reviews made me cautious, we experienced none of them: our room was well-maintained, carpet was clean, trim was painted, and the bathroom spotless. The friendly staff was refreshing: an expensive resort can be the opposite many times. Every encounter from Chris Davis at the concierge desk to Jay at the evening toast, Thomas at Stars Restaurant to Johnathan in the main dining room, staff were friendly and accommodating, helpful and at ease. The front desk understood the American Express Platinum package we reserved and were proactive with its benefits. We arrived after lunch and enjoyed the pool while we waited on our room. I recommend packing a day bag with your suit. You can change in the beautiful spa locker room adjoining the pool. Our room came with a garden view patio and glimpse of the water just beyond the trail. Bird droppings on the patio’s table kept us from enjoying that space but Mother Nature is out of control of the hotel. The Concierge Chris welcomed us and detailed the activities of the day. Don’t miss the daily complementary 5 o’clock toast complete with champagne at the flagpole. You’ll be met by Jay who shares stories about St. Michael’s and the Inn. Dinner at Stars provided incredible views. We enjoyed the foie gras appetizer along with entrees of scallops and crab cakes which were full of crabmeat. For breakfast we ate outside on the patio and were greeted by name by our waiter Johnathan. We highly recommend the crab cakes Benedict and salmon cheesecake. The salmon sits on top of a cream cheese spread and is served with bagel crisps on which to spread it. The presentation, like all of the dishes we enjoyed on our visit at Stars, is what you imagine a high-end hotel would offer. The creativity of the kitchen shone brightly. The Inn sports a trail to the nearby Maritime museum. No need to get in your car back to town or walk the main road. The ground staff has cultivated trails bursting with hydrangeas, pansies, daisies, and summer color. I found myself appreciating its detail. You can do as much or as little as you want to get the most of your stay. We will return.

Do not stay at Inn at Perry Cabin

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Do not stay at Inn at Perry Cabin. Service and food quality are abominable. 20 years ago it was a top-flight property, but since Covid everything — other than the rates — has really fallen off. Dinner was a sparse salad that plainly had been sitting on the line for hours and an inedible “stuffed squash” that was burned. Breakfast was lukewarm, runny oats made with water. Staff shouting to each other down the hallways. In 2022, the place was a mess. Gave them another chance in 2026, and very sorry that I did. Find a B&B instead.

We just completed our stay at the Inn at Perry Cabin, which we booked through Luxury Link. It was wonderful we had a fabulous stay. The people I talked with at Luxury Link were straightforward and helpful. I would definitely consider booking through Luxury Link again.

We just loved our stay at The Inn At Perry Cabin and actually look forward to planning our next trip in a few months! We also love the fact that you are dog friendly. We would love to compliment Chance, who was part of your wait staff, and the man who is on loan from Dc was quite fabulous! They both really made our stay quite enjoyable. The spa was topnotch and the customer service was wonderful. We are hoping this will become our every year vacation spot. Thank you much.
