Awesome as Always!

We’ve been here countless times and this time just solidified why it’s one of our favorite spots. My *only* criticism (then I’ll get to the mounds of good stuff) is the check in times. We pay for the AMEX benefits of early check in at 12 noon, if available, and free upgrades, if available. Every hotel we’ve stayed at thus far using the benefit has been able to honor that 12 noon check in, even though it is “if available.” All have also given us complimentary upgrades. We didn’t get to check in until around 2:30, not far off from regular check in, and no upgrades. Upgrades I can understand are limited, but AMEX really pushes the early check in as a benefit for the credit card and we were pretty bummed it was so late, given we got there around 1130 AM. I do tend to remember in past visits, prior to getting the AMEX, we always got a pretty late check in, too. Just a note to management. Otherwise - everything was perfect. Pursers pub’s food is the best in town (yes, better than every other restaurant!) as are the drinks at the pub. Beautiful breakfast outside and wonderful relaxing time walking the grounds. Mary Kate at front desk was a total sweetheart as was everyone we interacted with. We come here a few times every year and always wish we could stay longer!

Extra special memories at STARS.

My wife Missy and I had the most extra special dinner ever ! Thank you to the Chef that was working on Saturday July 25 at the time of our reservation which I could not remember his name, Stacey, Vi cent the food and beverage director, Abbie our server and Vickie who served us 7 yrs ago and the next day saw her for breakfast at the Robert Morris Inn. We left St Michael's by boat one day and stopped in Oxford and saw her again. We never forgot her and here she was again and remembered us. What an unforgettable dinner this will be. Everyone made it extra special.

This was one of the finest experiences we've ever had at a resort. The facilities, across the board, were tremendous and I've never seen a more spotless environment. Inside and out, within our room or anywhere outside of it, everything was pristine. The staff there deserves high praise for the caliber of their work in this area. Speaking of the staff, overall they are the best. Not once did we pass a staff member without them offering a smile and a kind word. And this began before we even showed up. I want to give extra special thanks to Heather and Daniel at the front desk who assisted us with several important reservation and check in details. In short, they made our trip. They are treasures. Additionally, I want to specifically call out Tanniel, Jose and Enrique who provided individual touches during our stay that made a difference. Beyond the people, there are a few random tidbits worthy of note. First off, for being a bit of an older facility, it somehow looked completely new. Our room, in addition to being spotless, felt like we were the first people ever staying there. A nice detail--the HVAC system at night was whisper quiet. It made sleeping extra nice. Moreover, the temperature controls were highly accurate. If you wanted it cold, it got cold. Also, when we were there the resort was fully booked but somehow it never felt crowded and the staff never seemed overwhelmed. If you're a tennis person you'll love their courts. The walk or short drive to town added to the overall experience. Great restaurants, shops etc. The only facilities we used were the restaurants, pool and gym but, as mentioned, they were all high quality and the staff made the difference. Stunning views everywhere. I always try to find something less than positive to report so it feels like a balanced review but I'm struggling to find something in this case. We look forward to a future visit.

Pretty good for a night away

Inn at Perry Cabin is a nice retreat from the busy city in Washington, DC. Some additional attention to detail would really have made this a place we visit a couple of times a year. Dinner at STARS was excellent. The dinner menu felt like a top tier restaurant, fresh and clearly thoughtful dishes all around, and the dessert made me think they actually have a pastry chef. Significantly better than the lunch menu, in my opinion. Location: the setting can't be beat with a beautiful water view. When we were there, there were not many young kids, so we really enjoyed the quiet, relaxed atmosphere. Huge pool, although the pool accommodations could be better. We spent the afternoon by the pool, but wanted to be out of the sun. We asked the pool attendant if he could help adjust some of the umbrellas, and he replied "Maintenance is not picking up our calls... so... we can't do anything right now." That really killed the experience as on a hot, sunny day, the sunburn threat was real and sitting in the sun really killed the relaxation experience. The bare minimum should be helping with umbrellas at a place like this! A nitpick, but on multiple occasions we were served undesirable diningware. A glass with lettuce crusted to the side, a fork with some fuzz stuck onto the tines, and another glass with a long hair on the side. I'm not sure why this was a constant issue. All in all, a nice place, albeit small and without a central "hangout" common area, so I think more than the 1 night we stayed we'd have gotten a bit stir crazy.

We just completed our stay at the Inn at Perry Cabin, which we booked through Luxury Link. It was wonderful we had a fabulous stay. The people I talked with at Luxury Link were straightforward and helpful. I would definitely consider booking through Luxury Link again.

We just loved our stay at The Inn At Perry Cabin and actually look forward to planning our next trip in a few months! We also love the fact that you are dog friendly. We would love to compliment Chance, who was part of your wait staff, and the man who is on loan from Dc was quite fabulous! They both really made our stay quite enjoyable. The spa was topnotch and the customer service was wonderful. We are hoping this will become our every year vacation spot. Thank you much.
