The Estate Yountville

I booked a stay for a friend's birthday trip. After an accident, I called the Monday before our Friday arrival to cancel. Tracy confirmed there would be no cancellation penalty — and because I'd booked through a third party, I specifically asked her to verify that the waiver would apply to my booking. She confirmed it would. I also provided the documentation they requested, and I had confirmation from the booking company itself that the cancellation would be resolved without penalty. Their calls are recorded per their own phone prompt. Within a day of arrival, Tracy told me the hotel had changed its mind and there was nothing she could do. I lost the chance to give the room to someone else, and I'm out thousands of dollars. Both the hotel and the booking company confirmed the waiver — and the hotel still refused to honor it. Whether the original promise was a mistake or not, they made it, I relied on it, and they walked it back. That lack of accountability is startling from a property at this price point.

Beautiful property and wonderful staff. It’s centrally located and walking distance to most of Yountville. They have a cute shuttle to Chandon. The breakfast is very nice and unique. We loved and used the pool. The spa is unfortunately still closed and apparently has been for a little too long. The room was nice but our AC didn’t work properly. The room was hot which made sleeping a little less pleasant.

Wonderful property and excellent service. We will be coming back. The Concierge service was exceptional to make our anniversary exceptional.

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary with The Estate Yountville and they made it so special for us. We have had so many people ask us about our trip and where we stayed. Thank you for giving us the best experience!

Stayed at Hotel Villaggio at Estate Yountville to celebrate a 40th birthday and our first trip as a family of three with our one month old. The property itself is beautiful. Our crib was set up before arrival, and we appreciated a welcome amenity that included a half bottle of sparkling wine from Chandon and a slice of double chocolate cake. That said, the stay felt a bit inconsistent for a luxury hotel at this level. In our room, none of the bedside reading lights worked, there were minor cleanliness issues in the bathroom when we arrived (a couple of long hairs), and the toilet would occasionally try to keep refilling (stuck toilet handle) unless adjusted. We also noticed fairly constant thumping noises from the room above us during our stay. Overall, while the property has a lot going for it, our experience didn’t fully match what we were expecting for a special occasion stay.
