We loved everything! Leia, Brice, Logan & Alexa were so charming and enjoyed their care. Had a wonderful meal and the morning basket was divine! It was perfection for me…

White Water Inn Family Get Together Week

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Spent a week here with extended family, all were delighted by the clean, comfortable and calming rooms. A beautiful setting, just above the coastline is hard to beat but the White Water team did just that. Their kindness and warm hospitality was incredible, we felt at home and amongst friends the entire stay. On behalf of my entire family, thank you for making our time together here so very special!!

BEWARE ~ Overpriced, Deceptive and Underdelivered

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

BEWARE ~ Overpriced and Underwhelming The name has changed and is no longer a B&B, We stayed at the Blue Whale B&B in 2005. It was lovely and the rooms were great. The lobby had beautiful large windows looking out to Moonstone Beach. There were 7 large rooms on the property with the lobby at the front. While looking for a place to stay recently, I recognized the lobby in a picture for White Water. I choose to make a reservation for 4 nights. I didn’t know or realize that there was another property not adjacent to the original B&B property. Upon checking in we were shown a map to reach our assigned room. It was not next to the original property but down the road with a dirt lot in between. Upon getting into our room, it was obvious that we were given a room in a smaller and older property. “You can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig” = “making superficial or cosmetic changes to something cannot hide its fundamental flaws, poor quality or true nature.” That is what White Water tried to do with the old property we were assigned to. The lobby was not easy to go to. Down a parking lot and down the street since the lobby was on the farthest side of the original property. PROBLEMS: 1/ The room was too small with two queen beds, one night stand in between the beds, with a bench seat under the front windows. No chair or table nor desk. We had to sit on the bed to drink morning beverages. 2/ The room faced the other row of rooms on this property with a parking lot between. NO OCEAN VIEW. Even the outside bench faced the other rooms and parking lot. AGAIN NO VIEW. The small back side window faced a wood fence about a foot away. AGAIN NO VIEW. 3/ The blinds to make the room dark at night were ridiculous. They needed to be open to let light in during the day. I had to stretch and stand on my tippy toes to reach the hooks. 4/ The lighting was bad. The light above the nightstand was 2 light bulbs with no covering = blinding light. 5/ The refrigerator/freezer was cute ~ like a retro one. BUT it was not cold. Even after adjusting the temperature. 6/ The bathroom was horrible, in that the baseboards and jams were not finished properly, with paint and putty slapped on in clumps. It was disgusting. (pictures attached) 7/ In the bathroom there was one light above the sink. One could not see to put makeup on. We had to open the bathroom door into the room to use the full length mirror but the lighting was not great there either. There is room on the wall on the side of sink to put a lighted 2 sided (one regular and the other magnifying) mirror that could be swung out to use. 8/ The metal holder in the shower to hold the shower soap, shampoo and conditioner had some the finish chipped off BUT was the wrong size since we could not pump the products out. 9/ In the shower, there were holes from a previous holder that were not patched. 10/ The phone charger was not compatible. I had to move the night stand to unplug another item so I could plug in my charger and we had to use a plug by the window seat for another phone ~ not convenient. FOOD ISSUES: Since I am gluten-free, I usually call ahead of time to advise that I am gluten-free so there is time to plan and buy whatever is needed so that I can eat safely and not get sick. I did call White Water a week ahead and was told that in the morning basket was basically pastries. They said they could substitute fruit. I was not asked my name or reservation so there was no information noted ahead of time but that I was just to tell them when I checked in about the my allergy. Even the Corporate Director of Food and Beverage Operations was there when we checked in did not know if the offered oatmeal was GLUTEN FREE. On our first morning there was a cardboard cup of oatmeal (apparently GF) in the basket which tasted nice, but unfortunately there was NO spoon provided nor was there one in the room so I ate a few bites with a wooden coffee stir stick which was not appropriate and unpleasant. There was a banana and a green apple. The 2nd morning ~ Unfortunately there was no fruit nor any oatmeal in the basket just pastries for 2 people that I couldn’t eat. Tea bags in the room were not restocked. Upon calling the front desk Mario said he had no notification of our information regarding our morning basket to provide gluten-free or fruit or anything. Their communication system stinks. The 3rd morning ~ I received oatmeal and 2 green apples but again, unfortunately there was NO spoon. Last day ~ There was no oatmeal just two pears. One afternoon when we returned to our room, our room was made up, but unfortunately they had taken the used mugs and used glasses but they were not replenished. The White Water was NOT the comfortable and relaxing place to stay that we hoped for. At the extremely high price paid, it should have been. The cost for 4 nights = over $850 A NIGHT!!! They even had the gall to offer a sweatshirt for all the problems. Why would we want to wear it and advertise the property?

Dream Vacation

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. From the welcoming we got at check-in, the AMAZING cookies Logan made every day (seriously the best I’ve ever had), to the friendliest staff I think I’ve ever encountered, the bathtub of my dreams with an ocean view, the free smores/bikes! Every single aspect of this hotel is a 10/10. I will absolutely be coming back & I truly cannot thank Bryce and his whole team for how amazing they made the weekend.
