We took two kids and two dogs to Suncadia and had a great experience. We were expecting snow when we booked but due to a dry winter there was no snow so we had to find other things to do. Our toddler loved the indoor pool and the playground at Nelson Farm. We ate at all the on site restaurants and all the staff were super friendly and the food was great. My sister and I got facials at the spa and it was wonderful. The dog park is great as well. Woody offered us a ride in the shuttle which we hadn’t used yet and it was such a nice way to get around. He picked us up multiple times and made it so fun for our son who got to pick a prize from his toy box. We saw him our last morning and he offered to take us to see a herd of elk but we were getting on the road to go home. He stopped me we were checking out to bring us a coloring book and crayons for our son to enjoy on the ride home which was so thoughtful. Woody was wonderful and we can’t wait to see him when we come back. Thanks for a great trip!

This was our third stay at Suncadia since moving to Washington (Seattle area) a year and a half ago, and it continues to feel like a true home away from home. The overall vibe is cozy, cabin-in-the-woods luxury—warm, inviting, and thoughtfully done. The staff consistently go above and beyond to make every guest feel cared for. Each evening, real (smoke-free) fires are lit outdoors, with beautiful fireplaces throughout the lodge and in guest rooms as well. Everything feels intentionally designed to be comforting without the downsides of smoke. When the fog rolls in, it genuinely feels like you’re staying above the clouds—quiet, peaceful, and almost dreamlike. The downstairs bar is phenomenal, offering high-quality drinks, and the food is freshly prepared and clearly made with care. Prices reflect the luxury Hyatt-level experience, which is exactly what you’d expect. There’s no nightlife nearby, and that’s part of the charm. This is the perfect place for those who want to escape—to experience the feeling of camping without actually camping. Once you’re on the property, you hear no traffic or city noise—only the river, the wind, and the quiet. At night, you can see the stars clearly, and during the day there are countless scenic trails waiting to be explored. For me, it’s always a grounding experience—a place to slow down, read, write, crochet, and simply be present. I love taking long walks with my husband and having uninterrupted conversations. There’s something incredibly homey about this place, from the atmosphere to the genuine smiles and eagerness of the staff to help. Suncadia isn’t just a resort for us—it’s a place we return to again and again because it feels like home.

We had an amazing experience at this beautiful place. The staff is very kind and welcoming. It was the perfect spot for our family getaway. We want to express our gratitude to Snoopy, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. We can’t wait to return!
