Gateway Canyons provided everything we were hoping for in a luxury family vacation experience! The property and location are simply stunning, with breathtaking views of the surrounding mesas and the Palisades that can never be accurately portrayed through photos. The on-site activities, pools, and amenities provide more than enough fun and excitement to fill an entire week without ever leaving the resort. The property is well maintained and the staff deserve special recognition for going above and beyond at all times to be not just fully accommodating, but to make each visitor feel important and valued. Stacy, Adria, and Andrew make a fine concierge staff and each made personal efforts to ensure that our needs were met while also offering keen insights to make our trip more enjoyable. Carla was an absolute delight at the Paradox restaurant each time we stopped in, and Matt, Matt, and the event coordination staff offered top-rate hospitality. This year's Easter brunch was a meal to remember, we hope this becomes an annual event to look forward to for years to come! Both Ryan and Kristine made for incredible guides during our excursion out on the sunset trail ride. They were engaging, personable, and took extra care to ensure that the family had a memorable experience. Each of the housekeepers also went out of their way to say good morning and ask if we were enjoying our stay. Their level of service went well beyond the average stay. We can't say enough about what a wonderful trip this has been, thank you once again to the entire staff for delivering the family vacation of our dreams!

Would not recommend unless fall or later in the spring. Place felt abandoned. One restaurant open, very little activities.

Run down, dirty and half closed. The highlight is the warm staff, this place has seen better days. Bats in the stairwells, terrible food. Broken plumbing

Gateway Canyons Resort is one of those places that genuinely exceeds expectations. From the moment you arrive, the setting alone is unforgettable — tucked into dramatic red rock canyon walls, it feels private, peaceful, and completely removed from everything in the best way. The property is beautifully maintained, and every detail feels intentional. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-designed, with a great balance of comfort and luxury. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and the soaking tubs and outdoor views make it easy to unwind. Service was excellent across the board — friendly, attentive, and never overbearing. You can tell the team takes pride in the experience they’re delivering. The food and dining options were also a highlight, and there’s plenty to do on-site if you want to stay active, or you can simply relax and take in the scenery. If you’re looking for a unique, high-end Colorado getaway that feels both elevated and grounded in nature, this is it. Definitely a place worth returning to.

This was our 4th time at the resort and we had a great weekend getaway. The staff was very friendly, grounds and hiking was great. We’ll be back

I'm a fifth-generation Coloradan, am a stalwart fan of Gate Gateway Canyons for multiple reasons, and this year's visit was the 5th year for our family. The first included my father and his nurse/companion when Gateway was just being built. Every time we go, I am further impressed with the integrity with which this vision was conceived and is being carried out. I speak with staff when I visit and every single staff member is consistent: The place is wonderful, the seasonal activities are fun, and they love the area and the vision for Gateway. All this by way of saying that I truly appreciate the hard work and emphasis on a private yet comprehensive experience on the Dolores near the Colorado Plateau.

I just wanted to take a minute to write about what a wonderful facility Gateway Canyons is. The accommodations were beautiful, food was fantastic and the staff was great to work with. We received an informative tour of the museum and they even helped us find the game in the Kiva Café Sunday morning. We told ourselves we would get up there from the day I toured with the VCB and it just didn't happen. I'm sorry we waited so long but it was well worth it. I'm glad to see the project continuing to grow given the economy. Thank you again for a fabulous getaway!
