Gateway Canyon Resort is a beautiful resort, just a quick, scenic drive from Grand Junction, CO. Perfect for hikers, bikers, those wanting to chill by the pool or in a hot tub. The grounds and scenery are amazing, the service is impeccable and our overall stay was relaxing and beautiful. There’s horseback riding and helicopter tours, if those are activities of interest to you. We only had a night, but are already planning to return.

Could be the best resort in Colorado, if someone who cares buys it. My guess is that the owners gave up on it. You can tell it was once glorious! Now it's tired and dirty, like Jurassic park. Totally let go!

We stayed in a Casita, and paid what seemed to be high-season prices. Unfortunately, the Casita didn't live up to our expectations. The hot tub stopped working, the fire pit had to be worked on, the sofa sleeper mattress was terrible, the water took way too long to warm up (wasteful), and the windows were dirty. Advertised that there was a wet bar, but there wasn't.

Amazing location for a family, friends, weddings etc. Wish a little more entertainment for the kids. Like a play ground, or something to keep them busy. A bit more options for the restaurants would be great too. Stuff was amazing, very friendly and helpful. Loved the auto museum and hike.

I'm a fifth-generation Coloradan, am a stalwart fan of Gate Gateway Canyons for multiple reasons, and this year's visit was the 5th year for our family. The first included my father and his nurse/companion when Gateway was just being built. Every time we go, I am further impressed with the integrity with which this vision was conceived and is being carried out. I speak with staff when I visit and every single staff member is consistent: The place is wonderful, the seasonal activities are fun, and they love the area and the vision for Gateway. All this by way of saying that I truly appreciate the hard work and emphasis on a private yet comprehensive experience on the Dolores near the Colorado Plateau.

I just wanted to take a minute to write about what a wonderful facility Gateway Canyons is. The accommodations were beautiful, food was fantastic and the staff was great to work with. We received an informative tour of the museum and they even helped us find the game in the Kiva Café Sunday morning. We told ourselves we would get up there from the day I toured with the VCB and it just didn't happen. I'm sorry we waited so long but it was well worth it. I'm glad to see the project continuing to grow given the economy. Thank you again for a fabulous getaway!
