We had an amazing week long vacation at Gateway Canyons Resort! Our family loved spending time at the pool, playing yard games, checking out the local wildlife(frogs and lizards), visiting the John Brown Dinosaur Track, a UTV tour, and biking on trails near the resort and in Fruita. The pool was not heated but with the weather being very warm it was refreshing and we still spent a lot of time in the water. The Resort is beautiful and the staff were super friendly. Molly at Paradox Grille took amazing care of us and Dylan at the Adventure Center led us on a wonderful UTV tour called The Big Lebowski! He was wonderful with our 2 boys and had tons of neat information. I do wish there were more options to get food and was disappointed that Entrada was not open. We ended up in a Casita after a small issue with our first room that the staff took immediate action over. The Casita was very nice and spacious I just wish it had a small kitchenette. Only complaint was the shower water temperature, it took forever to get warm :(

Beautiful scenery, great location. Housekeeping should be more attentive of spiderwebs allong the hallways, front desk staff was extremely kind just lacked a bit gumption in their voice , front office supervisor was kind and extremely attentive. Will return.

Beautiful getaway and girl's trip for my BFF's birthday! Enjoyed the pool and a hike. Our room was lovely, very comfortable beds and beautifully decorated. Service from staff was incredible!

Beware that the Car Museum has been closed “all season”. Staff didn’t know when it might be open. No information about that on the website. We drove about 100 miles out of the way to see the museum.

I'm a fifth-generation Coloradan, am a stalwart fan of Gate Gateway Canyons for multiple reasons, and this year's visit was the 5th year for our family. The first included my father and his nurse/companion when Gateway was just being built. Every time we go, I am further impressed with the integrity with which this vision was conceived and is being carried out. I speak with staff when I visit and every single staff member is consistent: The place is wonderful, the seasonal activities are fun, and they love the area and the vision for Gateway. All this by way of saying that I truly appreciate the hard work and emphasis on a private yet comprehensive experience on the Dolores near the Colorado Plateau.

I just wanted to take a minute to write about what a wonderful facility Gateway Canyons is. The accommodations were beautiful, food was fantastic and the staff was great to work with. We received an informative tour of the museum and they even helped us find the game in the Kiva Café Sunday morning. We told ourselves we would get up there from the day I toured with the VCB and it just didn't happen. I'm sorry we waited so long but it was well worth it. I'm glad to see the project continuing to grow given the economy. Thank you again for a fabulous getaway!
