The property and views are exquisite. The staff is super friendly and helpful. It is an amazing place to get away from it all!

This place is amazing and is such a gem. We loved sitting in our own private hot tub looking up at the stars. I can't recall the last time I saw so many stars! My only complaint was that we were only there for one night. My wife and I plan on returning for 2 or 3 nights so we can take advantage of the hiking in the area and the pool and spa. It really is a shame that the auto museum has closed to the public. The group I was with did get a private tour of the cars and we were blown away. I would honestly come back just to tour the museum again. I sure hope they can find a way to open this up again.

Gateway Canyons Resort is a gorgeous, secluded location with very limited dining options and just a small bev fridge in the casita. The resort employs hard-working staff from all over the world who could maybe use a few more people on their team. The adventure packages and options are great! We really enjoyed our UTV tour. We also appreciated the bicycles available for riding around the resort property. After waiting at least 15 min to check in with no one at the front desk our original reservation for a room with two queen beds was not honored. But we were upgraded to a beautifully furnished casita which had a king-sized bed and two pullout couches which were very uncomfortable. Each kid ended up just sleeping on the couch itself. The beautiful primary bathroom had no hot water despite maintenance visiting twice. Luckily, we did get hot water in the secondary bathroom, so the four of us (one at a time 😁) were able to shower in there. There’s just one main restaurant open, so while the food we ate there was very tasty and thoughtfully prepared our mostly vegetarian family ran out of options by the end of Day 2 and we ended up driving to Grand Junction, an hour away, where we ate one meal and picked up food to bring back for the next two meals. The spacious, beautiful casita we stayed in only had a beverage fridge. There was no wet bar sink or microwave, so we were limited as to what we could do for food. We really appreciated the spacious hot tub and the gym. We loved the cozy fireplaces in the casita and the fire pit on the casita patio. It’s a beautiful property, but it definitely needs more dining options and/or food preparation options in the rooms/casitas like microwaves and sinks. It feels like the staffing is at the bare minimum, and while everyone is kind and helpful they could have used extra support.

Great place and the leaf peeping on the way from Denver to Gateway was incredible. You need to continue the roadtrip to Telluride for a day.

I'm a fifth-generation Coloradan, am a stalwart fan of Gate Gateway Canyons for multiple reasons, and this year's visit was the 5th year for our family. The first included my father and his nurse/companion when Gateway was just being built. Every time we go, I am further impressed with the integrity with which this vision was conceived and is being carried out. I speak with staff when I visit and every single staff member is consistent: The place is wonderful, the seasonal activities are fun, and they love the area and the vision for Gateway. All this by way of saying that I truly appreciate the hard work and emphasis on a private yet comprehensive experience on the Dolores near the Colorado Plateau.

I just wanted to take a minute to write about what a wonderful facility Gateway Canyons is. The accommodations were beautiful, food was fantastic and the staff was great to work with. We received an informative tour of the museum and they even helped us find the game in the Kiva Café Sunday morning. We told ourselves we would get up there from the day I toured with the VCB and it just didn't happen. I'm sorry we waited so long but it was well worth it. I'm glad to see the project continuing to grow given the economy. Thank you again for a fabulous getaway!
