The grounds were beautifully kept, the pools were inviting, the bars were well-stocked, the beach was clean, and the food was delicious, but the real gem of the resort was the staff. Larry, Marvin, Edgar, and Julio were all fantastic. Julio made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in and Marvin and Edgar took great care of my daughters at the bars. Everything at Jaguar Reef was exceptional, but talking to Larry everyday is the thing I'll miss the most.

Some of the best people I've ever met! Larry was amazing. On check out day he had flowers for my two girls, and myself. Edgar was the best bartender, and funny. I absolutely adore these people, and that place.

I wanted to pass along my experience at the lodge at jaguar reef/belize collection this last week (June 2 to June 8th) we had previously visited jaugur reef 20 yrs ago so maybe my review is jaded based on what used to be, vs what has changed. We arrived mid day on the 2nd. Nobody to greet us, and nobody to help with bags, we dragged our own bags into the front office. Which then took almost 30m ins to get someone to check us in, which in itself was a process.. they wanted a picture of my credit card and id...in which case I said no.. i dont want that info floating around for someone to steal a simple ad safe, though. there is no reason into days world this shouldn't be eel electronic and done via a web site. We had paid for the extra food and beverage plan 1700 for the stay only to be told their were serious limitations local beverage only for alcohol (well drinks) and we were limited to 3 items per meal 3 meals a day i don't know about you but for 1700 for 6 days..I should be able to drink ad eat what I like without issue. So we finally get check in and head to our room to find the front pool (private room pool very dirty and not cleaned) they said they would send someone over to clean it and they did however it wasn't cleaned well until the ne t day. As we entered our room, the key to lock the door didn't work.. and once inside, we found one of the sinks to be leaking all-over the bathroom floor which they in turn had to send someone else to fix as they were doing the repair I wanted to turn our ac down only to find a remote that didn't work...so we're off to a great start right? When we booked our trip, their website said 1 free excursion if you booked in May 2025, so our agent for the belize collection told my wife to book it when we got there.. and guess what.. they have never heard of this.. and they couldn't get enough people scheduled (minimal effort) to allow us more excurions.. so we finally gave in and paid for 4 people snorkeling (only 2 of us), so we paid double... just so we could go. And when we asked for 3rd party excursions, they wouldn't recommend anybody..so yes, needless to say... we were not happy.. this was continuously compounded by a staff that couldn't get an order right at dinner or lunch and burnt our food on our anniversary dinner. I guessing they were mad at me at the point. Either way, our 20yrs ago, they waited on us hand and foot. Today their idea of service is ZERO ... I would not recommend this place to anybody today. Sorry for the long review... but if you expect any thought of good service at a resort, this place is not for you. We will never go back. Bryan

Our stay at The Jaguar Reef in Hopkins, Belize was nothing short of amazing. The resort itself is beautiful, with comfortable accommodations and a peaceful beachfront vibe, but what really made our trip unforgettable was the Big Dock Bar and the incredible service from the bartender, Lucas. Every day, my friends and I made our way out to the bar, and Lucas was always there with a smile, ready to greet us. His energy and friendliness were unmatched – he made the atmosphere feel fun and welcoming. It was impressive how he knew so many of our friends by name and remembered our usual drinks. It felt like we were hanging out with an old friend each day rather than just being guests. The Big Dock Bar quickly became one of our favorite hangout spots. The views are stunning, the drinks were always cold and delicious, and the vibe was just right. If you’re visiting Hopkins, don’t miss this place – and definitely say hi to Lucas. He made our trip truly memorable, and we’ll definitely be back!

I will never forget my honeymoon at the Jaguar Reef resort in Belize! I can honestly say it was one of the greatest experiences in my life! The trips, the food, the people, from the piña coladas to the friendly service, I would recommend this place to anyone and hope to make it back there again someday.

Paradise is the only word you need to describe the Jaguar Reef experience. Starting with one of the most beautiful places on earth and add the opportunity to share that with some of the friendliest, most generous people I've met, it's just a wonderful vacation. Special thanks to Stephanie! We will be back!
