Absolutely wonderful! Felt like it did years ago. The staff is truly accommodating and go above and beyond to make the stay special. The resort itself is always impressive, but recently feels more alive than ever. Love it and can't wait to come back.

Beautiful Hotel on the shores of Lake Placid with a wonderful staff. The hotel seems to have changed over the years as today there are crying babies, unkept children and barking dogs. We love those things but not when you are expecting a peaceful time at a prestigious property. The beautiful property and grounds are getting a bit roughed up and seems to be lacking the attention to detail that always made the Lake Placid Lodge special.

Dates of Stay: 5/31/26 - 6/7/26 This was our first visit to Lake Placid Lodge, but it certainly will not be our last! The Lodge has been on our list of places to visit for a long time. From the moment we drove down Lodge Way, we knew we were in for something special. The lodge, the grounds, the lake and mountain views, the food, and the exceptional staff all combined to create an unforgettable experience. Huge kudos to the entire lodge staff. The entire team is top notch—the best staff anywhere! Gail, I spoke with you last year at length about the rooms, cabins, and the best off-season deals. I'm sorry we missed you during our stay, but we heard you were on a pretty cool trip yourself! Sarah, thank you for helping me decide which room type to choose. I literally made our reservation the day before we arrived—we both needed some time away. Although our original plan was to stay five nights, midway through our stay, while enjoying a Hacker-Craft boat ride on a beautiful afternoon, we decided we simply couldn't leave on Friday. We ran into Leslie and Emily upon returning to our room, and they helped us extend our stay by two more nights. We were even able to keep our same room, Tamarac! There are so many staff members we would like to recognize. Leonardo, Nick misses the daily chats. Sarah and Leslie, you were incredibly helpful with so many things. John, our boat captain, we loved our many rides with you. Rajan, Sejla, and Marco (we enjoyed learning that Sarah and Marco are a couple), you made every breakfast and dinner enjoyable with your fun conversations. Max, Nick loved that bourbon treat! Jamielynn was a lot of fun and made some delicious espresso martinis. Matt and the entire boathouse team, along with the maintenance staff, were always pleasant and helpful, especially when directing Nick around the islands on his kayak adventures. The housekeeping team was equally wonderful, keeping our room spotless while always being kind and friendly. We took full advantage of the area, hiking nearby trails and kayaking on the lake. We also enjoyed simply wandering the immaculate grounds and relaxing on our deck. The weather was perfect—warm days and cool evenings, ideal for building a fire in our room. Over our 33 years of marriage, we've been fortunate to stay at some remarkable places, including a surprise wedding and later a 10-year anniversary trip to Petit St. Vincent, Moraine Lake Lodge in the Canadian Rockies, and Jenny Lake Lodge in the Grand Tetons, just

We had a great trip. It’s been fun exploring all the different cabins over the last four years. Look forward to the next cabin.

Room amazing. Location great. Dinner not worth it. Very expensive dinner and not very good food quality.
