Whiteface Lodge

We just had the most magical trip to the lodge. It is our second year in a row coming up, and we hope to make it an annual trip going forward. The first trip we got the presidential suite, which is beautiful, but the space needs for the configuration we had ended up being a little less than what we wanted. This time we went with a three bedroom lodge suite and it was perfect for our needs. The suite was so big and roomy, so many beautiful views, the service was impressive across the board (especially on a busy weekend). I applaud whoever designs the little touches in the hotel. The grounds are spectacular, with special touches everywhere. The same is true for little touches like warm cookies being out at the perfect times, the coffee/cocoa/hot cider station. We also didn’t fully absorb on our first trip just how much the hotel itself offers. It has everything, truly. Bowling, face painting, all sorts of stuff for kids. I have yet to go to the spa because my focus is on hiking, but I hope to next time! I really would recommend Whiteface to anyone, it is so special.

We visited for a week in October 2026. It's our 5th or 6th time being there. The food in the Peak bistro is excellent and arrived hot (We really appreciate when our food arrives hot). The live music on Thursday night was perfect and added to the cozy, warm ambiance. The resort landscaping is stunning - lots of flowers and holiday decorations. The bellman at the front check in are awesome. Overall a great stay.

It is an amazing place to stay in Lake Placid. It has a game room, s'mores, and a beautiful lawn. The rooms are very nice and I would recommend this to anyone staying in Lake Placid.

Fabulous resort. Very great camp Adirondack feel. Beautiful rooms. Magnificent grounds. Lots to do for kids. Great restaurant and first rate breakfast buffet we checked in a bit early and room wasn’t ready. They gave us drink coupons for the bar and were really nice.

We are not a family or couple that ever stays in the same hotel twice, and we did with Whiteface! There’s no words to truly capture how special of a place it is. From the views, swimming in the lake , pool or hot tub, the many activities, perfect location and stunning grounds, it is such a unique escape for the whole family to unwind and connect!
