Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge is literally unbelievable.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

You read the reviews, saw the pictures on line and probably have an idea of what it's like to stay at a luxury bush lodge and spend your days on safari, at the pool, enjoying the spa and eating delicious food. Well, expect your expectations to be significantly exceeded. The moment we walked into the lodge we were greeted by our first names, every time we returned from safari there was a warm towel for our hands and face, the service is incredible, the food delicious, the bungalow/rooms are luxurious and immaculate. And the safari experience was pretty mind blowing. Our guides, Samke and Gladstone, were wonderful and had the most interesting stories and explanations for everything from the animals and birds to a simple leaf and twig (that Samke actually made into a toothbrush!). Since they were both from a local village we learned so much and enjoyed getting to know them. Every single person that we interacted with at the Lodge was amazing. There is no way to really explain the experience of being there. Go.

The Best of the Best

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Our stay at Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge exceeded all of our expectations. This was the first time we would be taking our 6 year old on a safari experience so we were a bit anxious. The lodge itself is extraordinary, A highlight was being able to see wildlife mingling at the watering hole while having breakfast, a cup of coffee or chiling on the deck. The safari drives were of course the highlight of our time at Sabi Sabi. Our guide Warren and his spotter were top notch. The best of the best and if you have book a stay at the Lodge - my advice is to recommend Warren! He personalized each of our drives to ensure we were having an experience we would forever remember. And because of that not only did we see every type of wildlife imaginable, but the way we experienced the wildlife was unique and special. In addition, the sundowners and breaks were such a relaxing and fun time that our son started calling them "parties." We left Sabi Sabi Game Lodge knowing that some day down the road we would be coming back (and requesting Warren to be our guide again!)

Utterly Perfect!

From the moment we were greeted by the lodge management couple Conrad & Retha, to the moment we were waved off by our guide & tracker team of Jana & Nhlanhla it was absolute perfection! The lodge is elevates with an amazing view over an open grass area & watering hole, frequented by lots of animals. The food was exceptional, especially the boma dinner with the wild kitchen serving zebra & kudu. Our suite was on another level! Beautifully designed & decorated bedroom, bathroom, lounge & study area. 5* luxury at it's very best. The personal touched like hand written welcome notes, complimentary mini bar, turndown service and so much more, were really special. Waterbuck & nyala, are cruising around the camp most of the time as they feel safe there away from predators. But most of all the trip was taken into another universe by Jana & Nhlanhla on the game drives. I feel almost embarrassed to list everything we saw, but aside from the Big 5, the highlights included a den of hyena pups, rhino mum & calf, a pride on lionesses & cubs, stunning female leopard, ele calves, and most spectacular of all - the 2 male lions within touching distance! Jana's knowledge was mind-boggling! My partner and I ask a lot of questions and Jana knew the answer to every-single-one, accompanied by a story or extra info! Nhlanhla and Jana make a superb team, especially when off-roading! We were in the best viewing position every time! On top of that, Jana was just a lovely human - kind, sincere, and accommodating. The world is her oyster. We were both quite emotional after a couple of the drives, and of course when we left. It changes your outlook on life so profoundly. The greater Kruger is magical, but the magician is Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge. So grateful to everyone there.

Sabi Sabi - where dreams came true ♥️☀️

I feel truly blessed to have stayed at Sabi Sabi bush lodge. The staff went over and above for my family and I, the food was exceptional and the accommodation was insanely beautiful. The two people who really made our stay at Sabi Sabi was Banie our tracker and Warren our guide! This incredible duo worked as an amazing team giving us the most amazing animal encounters we could ask for. Warrens knowledge of animals and the natural world is like nothing I have ever encountered. And his sense of humour made each safari so much fun! We cannot thank this amazing duo enough. Staying at Sabi Sabi and experiencing what the Greater Kruger NP has to offer will live on in my heart. Thank you again Sabi Sabi for making dreams come true. ♥️

Family friendly luxury in Sabi Sabi

We had the most amazing time at Sabi Sabi Bush lodge. As avid safari goers, this lodge superseded all expectations. Tumbela villa was other worldly and staff like Richard and Zulu made the safari experience extraordinary. We saw the big five and all their babies in one single drive, if you are thinking of lodges, this one surpasses expectations and the game viewing and Sabi Sabi is next level

To visit Sabi Sabi's Earth Lodge is a chance of a lifetime to participate in the very best of a world class bush experience. Thanks to the diligence & commitment of our ranger/tracker team, the game viewing was spectacular. Add to this the experience of staying in a luxury lodge with large comfortable suites, fine cuisine, excellent facilities and a level of camaraderie not often found in such surroundings and you truly have the best in the world. This all made for yet another truly memorable visit, never to be forgotten!
