⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Unforgettable Serengeti Experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 12 hours ago

There are hotels, and then there are places that create memories that stay with you long after you have left. Meliá Serengeti is one of those rare places. From the moment you arrive, you are welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality. A special mention must go to David and the entire team, whose professionalism, attention to detail, and sincere care made every moment effortless and enjoyable. The location is simply breathtaking. The rooms overlook one of the most spectacular basins in the Serengeti, offering uninterrupted views that change throughout the day as wildlife moves across the landscape. Waking up to that view is an experience in itself. The rooms are beautifully designed, immaculately clean, and exceptionally comfortable. Every detail has been considered, from the luxurious amenities and spacious showers to the delightful homemade chocolates waiting in your room. It is clear that guest comfort is at the heart of everything they do. The infinity pool deserves special praise. Seamlessly blending into the surrounding wilderness, it creates a sense of tranquillity that is difficult to describe and impossible to forget. The culinary experience is equally impressive. Every meal is prepared to a high standard, with an excellent variety of choices and consistently outstanding quality. Whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the food is a highlight of the stay. For those wanting to make an extraordinary experience even more memorable, I highly recommend combining your stay with a Miracle Experience Balloon Safari. Floating silently above the Serengeti at sunrise is the perfect complement to an already remarkable destination. To every member of the Meliá Serengeti team, from housekeeping and maintenance to the restaurant, front office, guides, and management, thank you. Your dedication, pride, and passion are evident in everything you do. Meliá Serengeti is not simply a hotel. It is an experience. One that I wholeheartedly recommend and look forward to enjoying again.

A hidden gem nestled within the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania!

We traveled as a family of 7 on our trip of a lifetime on a safari in Tanzania, organized by Tauck Bridges Tours. The company chose to have their guests stay at the Melia Serengeti, a 5 star property for 3 nights of superb accommodations to end our 10 day trip on. The property is built on an open entry concept for the lobby and restaurant areas, with all of the rooms facing and overlooking a magnificent view of the Serengeti. The staff is truly amazing; wishing to do nothing else but take excellent care of their guests. Now, for the cuisine, it rated among the very best I've tasted anywhere in the world!! Did I mention we are in the Middle of the Serengeti?? This Melia Serengeti left us all pretty much speechless and if we could have rated it higher than a 5, we would have! Go out into the world and safari in the Serengeti and then stay at the Melia within it. Cheers!

Thankyou

Quite simply the trip of a lifetime made special by this hotel. I can’t quite decide what is the best part of this hotel; the staff, the hotel itself, the surroundings, the food, etc. The staff are incredible and we are so grateful so many of them formed part of our holiday. We won’t forget you all.. and we will be back. The restaurant managers and food and beverages managers really go above and beyond and their staff are real assets to the business. Thank you for the best memory.

Expansive views and service make this an outstanding choice

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

This lodge is located in the Central West region of the Serengeti and was outstanding in every way during our 3-day stay. The Lagoon view room was brilliantly positioned to provide an expansive view of the plain below, offering an opportunity to glimpse animals like elephant and buffalo as they grazed below. In peak season (June-July), I understand the rooms provide an eagle eye view of the migration. Food and service were excellent. Staff were extremely attentive, demonstrating special concern and support for my wife, who was unwell for some of our stay. It's strategic location makes it ideal as a safari base. It is one of the more expensive options for a stay in the Serengeti, but think of it as an investment adding value to your experience - a haven in which to dust off from the safari, shower and change in comfort and to wine and dine as you reflect on your day.
