Alisal Guest Ranch & Resort

Alisal totally exceeded our expectations! The property was gorgeous. There were so many fun activities to choose from and the staff went above and beyond at every opportunity. Bingo by the pool was a hit, and we loved the cowboy breakfast with the most delicious pancakes! Horseback riding with Courtney, and the guacamole/margartia class with Daniel were top activities for us! If you want a true luxury ranch experience, head to the Alisal!

I am a little sad to say that as an Angeleno all my life, I am just learning of this great place. I had recently heard about Alisal Ranch from friends that have been going here for years. I decided to book a last minute trip for my son’s birthday. We had four adults in one of their one bedroom cottages and there was plenty of room. We were fortunate enough to have our room ready for a mid morning arrival. We received a quick confirmation of our activities and then a quick tour of the property before heading to our room. We had a quick lunch and then headed to the lake on property. We headed to the lake for some fishing and canoeing via the complimentary shuttle. The staff at the lake was great and got us all situated for some afternoon relaxation. After a few hours at the lake we headed back to the ranch for our scheduled e-bike tour. This was a great two hour tour of the ranch. The views were excellent and even with the rain on the ride it could not dampen our spirits. We saw quite a bit of wildlife on the e-bike tour. The front desk and housekeeping staff were great with supplying laundry service for our recently drenched clothes from the ride. Quite a nice touch. After the ride we headed to what was a surprisingly great diner. I am not sure what we expected by we were pleasantly surprised by the quality, taste and options available. After dinner we took advantage of the pool and hot tub. The room was well appointed for a group of 4 guests. We were all a fan of the robes :) The following morning we had a hearty ranch breakfast. Again, the food was great. We headed back to the lake for some archery and air rifle fun. The lake staff was great again and this was a fun way to end a quick trip. We hope to utilize more of the horse options when we visit again. The spa and tennis courts were quite nice as well. We look forward to trying them when we return. I cannot stress enough how great the entire staff was. Front desk, housekeeping, activity staff, and the wait staff at the restaurant were excellent. We all felt very welcome and well taken care of. We look forward to coming back with more family with what I hope will become an annual family trip.

We had a wonderful stay at Alisal Ranch! The people were all very friendly and accommodating and the facility was very clean and organized. From fishing to swimming to horseback riding and golfing, the entire experience was a 10. The food was great and the setting was spectacular. We will definitely go back to Alisal Ranch!!

Celebrated my husbands surprise 70th birthday at Alisal Ranch with our children and 8 grandchildren. Grandkids had the time of their lives with horseback riding, fishing, swimming, hayride and just all being together. We had 4 rooms for the family and all the beds were extremely comfortable. All the staff was very helpful and friendly. Will definitely visit Alisal Ranch again!

We love going to the Alisal Ranch! We go twice a year and it's amazing. The staff is so kind and professional. We love that there are no TVs and no phones. It's the perfect way for us to unplug from our busy lives.
