This would’ve been a three star review but it’s getting two stars because of the expense. We spent a ridiculous amount of money for a 2 bedroom penthouse at this hotel for three nights. Amongst other things we had issues with, the sink in the master bathroom, didn’t drain, the laundry equipment in our unit didn’t work, housekeeping came very late in the day, once we were finished skiing and tired in our room, the free breakfast that’s offered to guests in the penthouses was worse than you would find at a Fairfield Inn, we were charged for valet parking even though we self parked our car every day… and so on. The quality of the bedding in this hotel is that of a discount hotel chain - certainly not appropriate for the premium we spent on our mini vacation. This hotel is good. It’s proximity to the gondola is good. It’s got various amenities that are very nice, but if you spend thousands of dollars per night on a penthouse, you have a certain set of expectations and none of those were met. Truthfully, it was quite disappointing.

The rooms are stunning; the fireplace and view were exceptional. Bathroom was fantastic and large. The set up for skiing made it easy without a lot of carrying boots and skis around. Loved it all. Mountain was also great.

What a wonderful experience; the lodge was beautiful, we enjoyed having hot chocolate by the fire, food was good with a variety of restaurants. I had a lovely spa treatment. We didn't ski but took the gondola up to the top of the mountain. Valet parking made it easy to get your car and explore the town of Stowe. We would definitely go back!

The overall experience of staying at a base of the mountain property with nice dining as well as other amenities made the stay a very nice one.

The location is great - it has an ice skating rink, an "easier" mountain to practice on, convenience store, and on-site restaurants. There's also a heated pool and jacuzzi. However, customer service is lacking here. We especially had one extremely weird run-in with one of the porters named Pete. We liked our experience but may look at other places before coming back.
