Mountain Lodge at Telluride

We can’t say enough great things about Mountain Lodge and the staff there. Specifically, Sam Barnes. We met Sam nine years ago when we were planning our wedding and he helped us in every way possible. His customer service is beyond exceptional. It’s the little things that become the big things and he is someone who understands that! He executed on everything and made a lasting impression. So much so that we’ve been back several times after and it’s now the only place we will stay. We received the same exceptional service each time. It’s been a few years since we've been able to go back but just made the trip last week to plan our 10 year anniversary for next year. We reached out to Sam to let him know that we were heading back and it’s like no time has passed since we spoke with him last. During our stay, Sam took the time to sit down with us, hear our ideas and as always, ensure that he’ll make it happen. The cabin that we stayed in was the most beautiful cabin with stunning views. All of the bedrooms were in pristine condition and extremely comfortable. You could tell that there were little touches throughout the cabin that were intentional and thoughtful. We were traveling with our toddler and when we arrived, there was already a bed for her delivered. We spent a lot of the time at the pool and enjoyed the amazing customer service provided by Amy Jo. No request seemed to be a burden or too big and she always had a smile on her face. She was extremely kind and thoughtful and treated our family and kids with the sweetest care. You could tell that she wants everyone to have the best experience. The food menu was excellent as well as the drinks. Even the cookies that they have out by the coffee bar are unbelievable. The patio furniture is updated and we enjoyed lounging on the comfortable couches outside by the pool with the endless stunning views. The gondola is so close and a quick walk. They also have a shuttle that will take you and pick you up if needed, and they’ll offer without having to be asked. The crew that works out front is also wonderful. The day we arrived we pulled up in a 12 person Van. They were ready with Bell carts to take our luggage and had everything delivered to the room. We also brought groceries which they had no problem bagging and taking to our cabin without even being asked. Everyone helped us with a smile. We’ve been to several places in Telluride and in Mountain Village, and throughout Colorado, but this place exceeds them all. It’s truly a gem and one that we cannot recommend enough. A place where you not only make memories, but feel like you become friends with the staff. 5 stars would be an understatement.

We recently stayed at Mountain Lodge and the property was absolutely beautiful, staff was great, but there was one huge drawback for us. Noise! On multiple mornings we were awakened by delivery trucks, construction vehicles driving by, and other service activity near the property. As early as 5am! For a resort that promotes relaxation and mountain tranquility, the level of noise during the early hours was disappointing and impacted the quality of our stay. Otherwise they had stunning mountain views, classic mountain charm, and great location walkable to the gondola to get to the main Mountain Village and then down to Telluride(10-15 min gondola). Telluride is such a special destination. The scenery and setting exceeded our expectations. We would gladly return because the property itself is beautiful and the staff was pleasant, but we hope management can take steps to minimize early morning truck and construction noise for future guests.

5 Stars to the crew at Mountain Lodge! Our ski group was 24 strong and Sam Barnes and his team were outstanding! Great location, great service and great vibe made for a memorable experience. From our welcome reception to the guided ski tour of the mountain, the wine tasting, good food, good music...right at our door. Thanks for a great week in Telluride!

My wife, daughter, and I stayed at this mountain resort, and from a location standpoint, it is top notch. Close to everything. Just a few minutes from the village, near the market, and with views that are simply unbeatable. The property itself is well maintained, rooms are small but quaint, and very comfortable. The pool area and hot tubs are perfect especially after a long day on the mountain. What truly stood out, though, was the customer service. From the moment we walked in, Cami, Paula, and Lyell at the front desk were outstanding throughout our entire stay. Always smiling, always attentive, and always willing to help. We also had a few rides with Angel and Miguel, and Alejandro from housekeeping was equally impressive. Every single person we interacted with made us feel genuinely welcomed and valued. I travel a lot, and it is rare to see this level of consistency across an entire team. They go above and beyond, and they truly make you feel like you are on vacation. That, to me, is what hospitality is all about. The pricing was very reasonable considering the location and quality. And the on call shuttle that will pick you up anywhere in the village at any time is a huge bonus. That alone adds so much convenience. For our first Telluride experience, this place set the bar high. Hands down, I would stay here again. Definitely a repeat

We visited the view the restaurant and we love the attention from Sebastian and yeilyn they were so nice and make the night more perfect we loved the food and the atmosphere hope to be back soon
