The location, outdoor pool and water pressure were good. The room was smelly(old, stale, like an ashtray) , dusty, the walls were dirty, and it just felt unclean. The exterior hallways and balcony porch reeked of cigarette smoke. It was awful and I used to smoke butts. The bed was not comfortable, had a hard time sleeping and woke up with a sore back. We were in a room that could be adjoining and the adjoining door was not safe, it could be easily opened even when locked. Could hear people in the next room like they were in the room with me. If you need to stay in North Conway for one night, this would be ok because the price isn’t bad. But don’t stay more than one night. It’s not worth it.

The reviews previously didn’t lie , very accurate but it was too late to change my booking . Shabby , tired and generally lacking in appearance, weeds , chipped spotty paint . The rooms were dirty very lightly cleaned . The a/c worked well , good clean shower , the curtains closed but were hanging down . It felt very dingy and smelled a bit . The walls were thick so it was quiet . Scuff marks and chipped paint on all the inside doors . The reception area is very modern and cool the reception staff are helpful and the breakfast was standard and fresh . It was cheap and had parking and WiFi , close to the shops and restaurants, good location. Would not stay again ever. 3 nights on that most uncomfortable bed was enough! This hotel is advertised as a modern fresh updated place , far from the reality of what I stayed in , very falsely advertised . It’s dirty and old .

Our room was not clean and was in sad condition. Dented walls, chipped paint, stains, and surfaces that felt grimy. The faux wood vinyl floor was peeling apart. I couldn't wait to go home and shower. Perhaps the strangest things were the mattresses. They were so soft that they felt like sleeping in a bouncy house, and they creaked with the smallest movements. Neither of us got much sleep, and we had a long drive ahead. It was a summer weekend, and the AC was ancient, noisy, and had an unpleasant odor. All this for $277 before taxes. Such a deal.

Where do I begin? How about check-in? It took 35 minutes to get checked in because they only had 1 person working the desk and since they had to borrow housekeeping from another hotel they couldn't get people into their rooms early. The walkway between rooms outside the hotel was piled up with trash. (see pics) My room didn't look like it had had any work done to it since the place opened in 1929. It was dirty, the wallpaper was mostly peeled off in the bathroom (see pics) and as a final insult a fairly good size spider crawled out of one of the pillowcases on my bed almost immediately after I laid down. (see pics) The indoor pool and hot tub were also closed and not working.

Tv doesn’t work, pool shut down for whole stay, no WiFi in the mountains, and dirty room. The put lipstick on a pig here, Check in area updated along with the outside painted with a new sign but the rooms are falling apart and haven’t been properly cleaned since George bush was president
