Check in was nice and comfortable, greeted with a smile and delicious drinks. During our stay, the staff were consistently friendly and always helpful. The hacienda-style resort is beautifully designed and well cared for. The Imperial Band should perform every night, it was so much fun. The foam party is a guest favorite and should be offered twice a week, everyone had a blast!!! What we missed was a silent party. The food at night was a hit or a miss but we never went hungry, room service was real good and the cheese cake yummy. Lunch at Mar y Tierra is a must, especially the breaded pork filet dish, we had the best food there. Jocelin's warm greetings in the morning was lovely, we miss her already. Abraham, the waiter who brought out the food at Mar y Tierra was amazing, such a fun guy we start calling him Caliente and always had a good laugh in the morning. The French toast served there for breakfast was a highlight we looked forward to each and every day, thank you guys for everything especially the happy birthday wishes for my hubby. Jocelyn from the Don Miguel Bar is a gem, a true hospitality professional, thank you so much we enjoyed your special drinks you recommended. Our stay in the Emerald Suite was lovely, and we will definitely return for a third visit. Thanks again to everyone who made our vacation unforgettable.

My family and I had a very disturbing experience at this hotel. On the first day of our stay, immediately following housekeeping/turn-down service, my 74-year-old mother discovered that her Apple mobile device and approximately $500 in cash were missing from her room. We reported the incident to hotel management right away, expecting support and assistance. Instead, we felt dismissed and were treated as though we were being dishonest. The hotel showed little concern for our safety, did not take meaningful accountability, and failed to handle the situation professionally. What was most troubling was that when we attempted to involve local law enforcement, we were told that police would not be allowed on-site. This left us feeling unsafe, unsupported, and without confidence that the matter would be properly investigated. A hotel should prioritize the safety and security of its guests, especially when a serious theft is reported. Unfortunately, our experience was the opposite. Based on how this incident was handled, I cannot recommend staying here.

The hotel failed to demonstrate any meaningful concern for my loss or the impact this incident had on me. Rather than making me feel like a valued guest, I felt dismissed and accused. The lack of empathy shown by both management and security was unacceptable. Whether you are traveling for business, vacation, or with family, the most basic expectation of any hotel is that guests and their belongings are safe. My experience left me with serious concerns about the property's security practices and the way guest complaints are handled. I cannot recover the stress, inconvenience, and financial loss I experienced, but I can share my experience so that others can make an informed decision before booking. Based on both the incident itself and the hotel's response, I would not stay here again and cannot recommend this property to others. Travelers should be aware and take extra precautions with their valuables if they choose to stay here.

Dear VIM, Your consistent grace always makes me feel like I’m home. Is this our sixth or seventh time together? I’m starting to lose count, but that seems fitting for this era of 6 7. I know. You missed me and my jokes. I feel the same way. From the moment, we arrived and were warmly welcomed by Ricardo; I knew returning to you was the right choice. Then drinks and snacks from Virginia, while we waited to check in, were just what we needed to really seal the deal. I must say Arturo really surprised me. Why didn’t you tell me you’d upgraded from golf carts to Lamborghinis? His charm, jokes, and sports car shuttle! You really know how to make a girl weak in the knees. But seriously, as you already know, food is the way to my heart. I think the tuna steak at Mar Y Tierra is one of the most slept on items for lunch, but let’s keep that our secret. A long, lazy lunch is what defines the perfect vacation meal especially when accompanied by thoughtful service by Albino. Oh, the French restaurant! You had me at rose! What a treat to enjoy that a lovely glass of blushing wine. Yair kept my glass full, so you know the meal was perfect. Yes, your beach changes more than I change my hair, but I get it you’re the child of Mother Nature. There isn’t enough therapy in the world to fix those mommy issues. I love you as you are (plus, you kept sending Mildre with smiles and drinks my way on the beach). The way your pool envelops me each afternoon in its cool embrace providing solace from the sun is bliss. You know how I love to float in circles with a beverage in my hand, and Sonia and Veronica make the perfect drinks to achieve this vacay vibe. But Jamer, working the Earth bar (mostly solo) today was magic. Even when the bar was packed he was kind, patient, efficient, and kept up with all the orders. He is a gem. We still have a few days to spend together, and I know they will be just as special. I’m looking forward to a few more morning yoga sessions. Also, a few more meals where calories don’t count. But there is something you can do for me. What you ask? Bring back the Imperial Band! Once a week just isn’t enough. Alright. I’m headed out to dinner and then drinks! All my love! -H

We stayed in one of the newer Dina’s suites, which was impeccable. The room was a standard size, comparatively, had high-end finishes, stocked refrigerator, built-in speakers to connect to Bluetooth, a beautiful view of the beach, and on-site concierge. The main pool is spacious, with two bars, and entertainment throughout the day. There are floats available or you can take your own. A nice little perk was free 5-minister poolside massages. The room and all other areas of the resort were clean and tidy. Service was prompt and the hospitality was out of this world. The entertainment was great, as well. The imperial band was outstanding! They played a variety of music and did it well. Transportation to and from the airport was quick and easy. The food options, entertainment, location, beautiful scenery, and overall vibe of the resort made for an incredible trip. There was a nice mix of guests’ age groups, which made the trip enjoyable.
