If your tropical dreams involve having a tiki drink in hand at all times, Valentin Imperial Maya does not disappoint. Guests can while away the days seaside on the wide, half-mile-long Playa del Secreto or float down a meandering pool almost that long – in peace, since the resort is adults-only. Roomy suites outfitted in creamy neutrals have marble floors and a hydrotherapy tub for two. At night, a choice of eight restaurants and 11 bars keep options interesting.

This is our first time staying at this hotel. We came to celebrate our honeymoon. It has been a magical romantic experience. The food is delicious, I have gained at least 10 pounds. All the restaurants were good but our favorite was Tamansari. Everyone has been very friendly and helpful. From Claudia at check in, Kevin the golf cart driver, Dora in the lobby, and everyone else, we have felt at home. Service is prompt and attentive. We stayed at the new Dunas suite, incredible ocean views with modern amenities and private pool. The Elvis and magic shows made for some good laughs and impressive entertainment. The activities schedule changes every day so you will always have something to do. Carlos and the GoTeam do a great job, our favorite was the guacamole lesson. The churros outside the shows will have you craving more and more. I went for seconds each time. The coffee shop had so many selections and good snacks. The spa treatments were a very good way to unwind, lots of steam in the steam room and refreshing showers. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to check out Riviera Maya, Cancun. We will be back for our anniversary!!

Review from a first-timer. We have been very loyal to another resort brand for 25 years, so it takes a lot to impress us....and Valentin did just that! From the moment you arrive, the resort's beauty and cleanliness are apparent. I loved hearing and seeing all of the running water features everywhere - it is so relaxing, as is the soothing music from the speakers along the paths. We splurged for an Emerald suite, and it was absolutely gorgeous!! The views were stunning, and the room was spotless and very cold (which we appreciated during a heatwave). The room was very quiet at night, with no DJ/Band noise, as it is all contained in the square, away from the guest rooms. It's not one big thing that makes this resort rise to the top; it's the little things, like food being brought directly to your pool chair from the food trucks, the presentation of the food for dinner (especially in L'Alsace Restaurant), the daily activities at the pool, the nightly shows/ band/DJ, the churro cart, the attentiveness and friendliness of all the staff, the cleanliness level, the amazing pool, a beautiful beach - I could go on and on. We would like to give a special shout-out to the following staff who made our vacation amazing: Go Team - Nora, Sayri, Carlos, Pablo, Israel, & Lorenzo (LOVE YOU ALL from the real Mr. Valentin)!!!! Endless energy and laughs! Isaac - the AMAZING pool bar server. Simply the best!!! Even during a massive heatwave, he always had a smile and a drink for us. Michel - "mi hermano" bartender extraordinaire Cindy - server at Taman Saari & La Hacienda. She is such a sweet soul! Beautiful inside and out. Sebastian - Churro King (and King of the World he says). Keeping VIM sugared up with his amazing treats! Teresa - Mar y Tierra server. Girl, you are AMAZING!! A wonderful personality and the best laugh ever!! All of the breakfast servers at Mar y Tierra - they are the best! I know I'm forgetting someone, but honestly, the entire staff, from the Groundskeepers to the top, was top-notch! We can't wait to be back soon! VIM, we love you!!

Excellent resort. Incredible employees. Every interaction with their staff makes you feel valued. The food is nearly 5 stars across the board. To top it off, the Valentin Imperial is truly all inclusive. I tip for every meal and about half the drinks, but the staff does not expect it. The property is meticulously maintained. 24/7 room service with full meals, steaks…you name it.

From the first step in to the resort to the last day this is the most amazing place. The staff is so welcoming and will bring you literally anything you can want or need at any time night or day. The entertainment is top notch from all the shows nightly to the imperial band ( dang that girl can sing) and the sights and smells are intoxicating. If I could give 10 stars I would. The staff go above and beyond, the food is great and you can try so many different kinds. The relaxing atmosphere and services at the spa are incredible. This was my husband’s and my second trip this will not be the last.

Valentin Imperial Maya is a great, fun resort. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the restaurants are terrific. The Hibachi is a wonderful experience and the Mexican restaurant has a few dishes that were amazing. My wife and I stated in one of the newer Dunas suites and we enjoyed the ocean views. For those thinking of visiting, this is an energetic resort, but not bawdy. It’s not Temptations, so don’t try to make it so. It’s fun, but still classy. No topless sunbathng and no relentless groping at the swim-up bars. The martini bar and cigar bar are very nice. Cigars are overpriced, but it’s a resort. You have to expect that. We had a great week of drinking, enjoying the weather and spending time together. The only downside was the beach. The sea grass is a constant battle. They do a nice job clearing it, but it takes hours each day. We missed the sea turtle hatching, so that was disappointing (but also our fault). In the end, it’s highly recommended for couples.
