Reviews for Capelongue

Amazing views.Brilliant ingredients well executed.

Didn’t stay at the hotel but in a nearby villa. Ate here as a treat having read about the restaurant online. Strength. Great food well cooked by people who care. Amazing views. Great wine choice. Disability access is good with suitable restrooms. Weakness. Lack of focus by the serving staff. The fact it attached to a five star hotel means it doesn’t have local flavour. If you want to celebrate this may be the place for you.

Chipped it to 4 stars

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

I chose the hotel to visit my daughter and grand children. A little challenging on the windy round from Loumarin, especially in the dark, but all part of the fun Chipped it for two reasons - room 501 had a covered seating out area, which meant it was impossible to catch the sun. But the main reason was we returned after a day out at 5-30 and then the lady turned up to service the room. For the price, way too late to be doing a room clean / service. Eat in the main restaurant not the. Michelin one. Found the menu, especially the starters a little narrow. Lots of meat, would have liked a few international dishes. Breakfast was good not great. Lovely room and location. We will be back but for the price doesn’t quite make it to 5 stars.

Beautiful hotel in Bonnieux

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Beautiful hotel with extensive facilities and nice restaurants. We booked the lowest category room but it was still spacious and nice. Unfortunately there is no upgrade provided for World of Hyatt members. Coffee machine in the room, large bathroom with nice toiletries. Breakfast had many options. I liked that they had free yoga in the mornings. Staff at reception and the restaurants were friendly and helpful.

Pretentious attitude of staff

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Fine except the very rude attitude and arrogant treatment of the staff. Terrible. Not friendly but opinionated and non friendly. Do not book the Michelin restaurant unless you like a pretentious, austere rude attitude. We had booked and the receptionist made a mistake. But the restaurant refused to be flexible even though there was an empty table we saw. Awful. Do not go.

Best breakfast in the Luberon

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

La Bergerie is an outstanding place for breakfast. Bonnieux has become a bit of a desert for bakeries, and places for coffee but La Bergerie at the Capelongue is an incredibly good spot. Wonderful buffet breakfast, marvellous location and the staff could not have been friendlier. Shout out for Jules. We were four cyclists meeting half way between Gordes and Cucuron, old friends and I cannot rate this highly enough. No one batted an eyelid at four cyclists arriving and just asked what sort of coffee we wanted. Thank you

My husband and I recently had the extraordinary pleasure of staying at La Bastide de Capelongue. What a feast for all the senses! Beautiful accommodation, fine wine and exquisite food all supported by professional and friendly staff. We have enjoyed many wonderful vacations all courtesy of Luxury Link but this Hotel has certainly offered the ultimate experience.

This summer we spent five glorious nights in Provence at La Bastide de Capelongue. The experience provided us with a top-notch hotel room, unique and elegant, with added benefits like dinners with wine and so much more. With the quality of the facilities and the courtesy of the staff, every effort was always made to welcome us.

La Bastide de Capelongue was, of all the places in the world I've visited, one of the most beautiful. Words, and even pictures, do not do it justice. The rooms are luxurious and very stylish, the gardens beautiful, the scenery unbelievable, and the food exquisite. The staff was extremely professional and courteous.
