The Charleston Place

We had a phenomenal stay at The Charleston Place! From the moment we arrived, we were treated with exceptional hospitality. The bellmen, Roosevelt and Patrick, were especially wonderful. Every detail of our stay exceeded expectations, and it made our time in Charleston even more memorable. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

The Charleston Place sits in the heart of downtown Charleston and delivers a genuine luxury experience. Its prime location places you close to The Battery, the Pineapple Fountain, and the scenic waterfront “necklace” road, making it an excellent base for sightseeing. Pros Prime location within walking distance of major attractions. On-site luxury shopping options that cover many needs. Well-equipped fitness center for a full workout. Beautiful, elegantly appointed rooms with comfortable amenities. Cons Dining options require planning; if you don’t eat at the hotel, navigating nearby restaurants can be a challenge if you’re unfamiliar with the area. On busy nights or peak season, nearby parking and neighborhood crowds can affect convenience. Summary If you want a centrally located, upscale stay with excellent facilities and easy access to Charleston’s top sights, The Charleston Place is a strong choice. Just plan your meals and local navigation ahead of time if you don’t intend to dine at the hotel.

My first time to Charleston S.C. And loved it so much! We stayed at The Charleston Place right in the middle of history. The hotel was so beautiful with the marble floors and the double floating staircases at the entryway to the second floor. Sophisticated architecture. and shopping and so many restaurants within walking distance. We took a horse buggy tour and was delighted with our horse and tour guide. The sights at night walking back to the hotel after a dinner out on side streets were lighted and very safe. Be sure to watch your step on the cobblestone streets but the charm definitely takes you back in time. It was such a treasure and wonderful memories. I will be back.

My wife and I have stayed at the Charleston Place many times in the past. I don’t remember ever having been treated so grandly by such professional and courteous staff. Lauren check us in and meticulously reviewed everything with us. She went beyond all expectations, including arranging for a valet to retrieve our car from the parking deck and bringing it around, so a bellman could assist us to our room. This wonderful experience set such a wonderful tone for our visit. It only continued with courteous and efficient assistance by Roosevelt, gold standard Bellman. He took extra time to point out all of the remarkable improvements made to the eighth floor. I just want management at Charleston Place to know how much the experience with Lauren and Roosevelt have meant to making our stay a very memorable one.
