The Leela Ambience Gurugram Hotel & Residences

Stayed here and attended a wedding party at the hotel for 2 days. Everything was incredibly handled from valet, concierge to catering. Plenty of staff who were all polite snd friendly and approachable, old school attitude but well mannered. Housekeeping were prompt and services such as laundry were handled with exceptional speed. Breakfast was extensive across two restaurants and again, plenty of staff to cater any requests. Rooms were clean, all amenities available, and lots of space. As an event venue, spectacular too, lots of halls or decks and ballrooms, even a club in the basement. Can't fault a single thing. Shout out to Tanvi on reception, and in fact all the staff, fully exemplary

I rarely write negative reviews, but in this case, I feel compelled to expressly warn other travelers. I recently stayed at this 5-star hotel in Gurugram for a business trip, and my experience was marred by a deeply concerning incident on the night of Oct 9, 2025, in suite #481. Despite setting "Do Not Disturb" (DND) for my entire stay, which I always do as a frequent traveler, three staff members (two male and one female) disregarded it after approximately 24 hours. They knocked incessantly and even attempted to open my door with a key card while I was sleeping. Thankfully, the safeguard chain prevented a major violation of my privacy - imagine if I had been in the shower! The female staff member claimed this was “normal practice” and showed no remorse for waking and alarming me. She attributed the intrusion to my DND setting being in place for over 24 hours. (Was that my fault?) I had breakfast in the hotel throughout my stay and ordered room service for dinner. These interactions should have indicated that I was doing fine, making the safety checks feel intrusive and disruptive. I was shocked by the General Manager's response, stating that “all rooms which have been under DND status for more than 24 hours would need to be physically checked by our security teams for safety reasons, irrespective of the guest movements in other areas.” This policy poses a significant risk of intruding on private moments, such as business calls or while in the shower, which is entirely unacceptable for a luxury hotel. After this incident, I feel scared and unsettled. I have stayed here 3 times before without any issues, but this experience has shattered my trust. Luxury should equate to privacy, not unwarranted disturbances. I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel if you value undisturbed rest.

Great hospitality from all staff and amazing selection of food during breakfast and in-room dining. Utmost convenience being situated next to the mall. Heartfelt gratitude to the security, dining, housekeeping and concierge teams for making us feel welcome, taken care of, safe and secure even if we’re miles away from home. Very thankful that they packed us pastries several mornings due to an early start of my working day. Definitely an ideal location when visiting Gurugram.

My wife and I stayed at The Leela, Gurugram for 10 nights. We enjoyed an upgrade to the Royal Club room and enjoyed all the benefits , except the Royal Club Lounge. Ramesh looked after our room extremely well. We checked in just after midnight and were greeted by Jyoti in reception, who was welcoming. The room was lovely and had enough power points. Durgesh and several other managers on the floors always kept asking if we needed anything. The location for the airport (20-30 mins) and Delhi 1-2 hours by car were convenient. The breakfast is truly wonderful with something for everyone. There was live sitar and tabla music in the lobby one day which was very nice. The concierge staff are fantastic - Rahul. Pritesh and Aman to name three. In particular, Rahul goes above and beyond expectations whether arranging transport; helping with Indian apps; advising where to get passport photos; copying some documents and patiently listening to any issue to provide a solution. Minor problem - We were unable to increase the room temp above 23C. The route to the Ambience Mall is not internally connected. Instead, one has to walk outdoors and it is a 3 - 4 minute walk. It is down a car ramp ( from the front of the hotel and you have to get back up on return, which may be a problem with those with mobility or cardiovascular issues. My main problem was that some cars are driven too closely. Although, there are 2 lanes on the ramp some drivers still chose the side with hotel guests on it. Either have someone to marshall the cars and ensure guest safety and/or make a separate proper path.
