They completely goofed up on my reservation and Inspite of repeated mails, there was no answer. Also all hotels take a credit card validation or max one days stay, however the Reservation app where one is directed to confirm Reservations takes the full charge for my three nights stay Did not make sense to block. Then rooms were not ready when we arrived at 1330 hours Inspite of the Front Office sending me What's App texts and mentioning rooms will only be ready at 12.30, though we had requested early check in. Quite understandable if hotel has high occupancy, but not acceptable after written confirmation on What's App texts. The staff at check in on the Club floor reception took too much time and then called in the Asst. Front Office Manager who was also taking time and delaying. After waiting for over 45 mins when they could not give the room, I requested to speak to the GM and was flatly refused by the Manager. I then requested that he connects me to the Operator, so that I could speak to the GM, but he denied that and told me to go to the room and dial "0" and was not giving the room. I had 4 rooms booking and we were all waiting in the Check in counter on the Club floor for over an hour. I did call the GMs office from my room, however, there was no response or probably not connected. The operator did take a message though and noted my mobile number and repeated the same to confirm, however, no call backs at all. The only saving grace was the Rooms Division Manager Sophiaa Roy, who resolved the check in issues....however after an hour's wait. This is not the service I expect from Leela Hotels and only faced this issue at Leela Ambience Gurugram where we were repeatedly mentioned that there is now a new management. I checked in on 5th March and out on 8th March. Incidentally we stayed in the Leela Palace Chanakyapuri on 4th March and it was delightful as usual and above expectations. The Leela Ambience Gurgaon has too many staff hanging around and mentioning sweets nothings and moment you ask a question .....they start looking away and are very unsure. Met the GM twice at Leela Chanakyapuri and not even once was the GM visible in three days. Very dissatisfied and dissapointed with Leela Ambience.

We went to Diya for dinner to have a birthday dinner. Excellent service (special shout out to Rahul annd Gaurav) and delicious food! Chef Athar Ali’s khameeri roti, garlic paalak and virk paneer is excellent! The appetisers were great as well! Ps- baby friendly environment!!
