Hotel Burnham Chicago

3 star service for a 5 star hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful and a wonderful location. The service was not up to the brand’s standards. We splurged and booked the ice cream cart for our kids. The cart was 45 minutes late, after 5 phone calls only one of which was answered to inquire about the ETA. Once the cart arrived they came with barely any cream left, and was was melted. The attendant made 3 tiny sundaes and couldn’t leave fast enough. Got charged $115 plus taxes for a bad experience and a worse treat. Horrible extortion. Then we needed extra linens and asked during our evening housekeeping check in. Waited 90 minutes and then made 4 calls to housekeeping before getting someone to ask a second time for linens and then another 30 minutes until they showed up. Finally, not the fault of the hotel itself but if you’re a light sleeper then be aware that the freaking noises on windy nights can be VERY loud. If traveling with kids who are not great sleepers, I’d avoid this. Overall an underwhelming experience the price and reputation.

We had a wonderful stay. The live guitar music at the bar was such a treat. We also utilized the indoor pool and ordered cocktails and it was a nice escape in winter.

FS Chicago has been our Go-To hotel for 21 years. There service and attention to needs, their pleasant demeanor, their guest orientation, and their rooms making you feel comfy has always been superb. But this last trip it went up another notch, something I didn't think could happen given how wonderful they all our! From the time I checked in; to sharing the pool with my daughter, son-in-law, and grandson; to their making personal accommodations for dinner; to room service; to making it easy to check out; it all was beyond superb guest service--everything was personal, timely, and down-to-earth view of the world. They indeed make it feel like you were home. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the highest, I give them an 11; and I've been told I am a hard grader.

Stayed here Dec. 19-21 2025. We live in the west burbs. My wife and I go to Four Seasons several times a year for a nice indulged getaway. FS has always been amazing.. every stay! Beautiful and clean luxury hotel that meets every expectation. The pool and fitness center is GREAT! Big Pool. The social area is huge and very relaxing. The entire staff that we have met over the years is ALL GREAT! We just took our family. 2 connecting rooms. One of the rooms has a large living area to hang out with family at night before we go fall into our cushy amazing bed. We love it so much we bought some of the pillows and linens. I miss it already! Oh AND YOU HAVE ACCESS to 6th floor 90 NORTH! 6th floor will also lead you to elevators ( west to the hallway ) , that you can take to exit and exit very close to Delaware and Rush and Walton and Rush.

Everything was wonderful, right upon my arrival, which was seamless, I was given early checkin privileges, and a room upgrade as well. What I noticed immediately was the care and attention to detail from all the staff. I felt everyone was on their game, and stepping up for that matter. I established so many positive connections with everyone that I had interactions with, they were kind and helpful, this is so refreshing and very much appreciated in a legitimate 5 Star Hotel! Elizabeth, the front desk manager was exceptional, making sure small details weren’t overlooked. Four Seasons Chicago is a well oiled machine… I can’t wait to return!
