Amazing food and service and Kao is the best

I mean the whole hotel experience was great, fromchecking , tonroomservice to dinner. The morning breakfast crew stood out for me , spwcially their hostess Pond, who remembered my name, what tyoe of coffee Inliked and always made sure I got a place to sit near the window. What a great host she was and how professional was her crew. Thank you all

One of the things I appreciate about living in Thailand for over a decade now is the incredible Thai hospitality. Because I am accustomed to warm and authentic Thai hospitality, it takes a lot to impress me. And yet I was impressed last week as I stepped into the Rain Tree cafe for a quick dinner with my son between meetings and evening calls. Upon entering, I was immediately greeted by name by Khun Panida, pictured here. She had served my family and me about 6 months prior during a Sunday brunch. We had had a wonderful long and leisurely brunch and had received excellent service from her at the time. All this came back to me as Khun Panida escorted us to our table (the very same table) and asked how my wife was doing, reminding me of our last encounter several months prior. She of course proceeded to give us white glove service for the rest of our dinner. That we are greeted with warm smiles and a pleasant demeanour is a baseline expectation in Thailand - again, one of the things I appreciate about living here. But that someone remembers me by name and my family and the context from 6 months before is very impressive, even by Thailand’s already high standards. The food and atmosphere at Rain Tree are wonderful, really wonderful. And when you have such “human” service by people like Khun Panida, it definitely makes you want to return. And indeed, we will.

Kao was awesome! Good service, great atmosphere, and a really enjoyable experience.

Room is great. Breakfast is wonderful too. Sang is helpful and make sure everything is alright.
