Raintree Café on 27 June 2026 18:00 reservation. First of all, I'd like to say that the food quality was excellent. The presentation, taste, and overall quality exceeded my expectations, especially considering the price. The F&B team has done an outstanding job. Although the Alaska king crab ran out before 8:00 PM, which was surprising for a five-star hotel with such a high number of daily reservations, the rest of the buffet remained impressive. Unfortunately, what should have been a wonderful dining experience was overshadowed by poor service from one particular staff member in a suit. When we arrived, only one hostess was handling the reception while three parties, including ours, were waiting. There were other available staff nearby, but no one stepped in to assist. A group that arrived after us was escorted into the restaurant before us. Fortunately, a young male staff member noticed what had happened and quickly came to assist us. However, the female staff member in a suit approached us with an unfriendly attitude. Instead of welcoming us, she loudly introduced the buffet by shouting across different stations. At the seafood section, she loudly announced, "You are using the KTC 50% promotion!" It was unnecessary and quite uncomfortable. The moment that disappointed me the most was when another guest was looking at the soft drinks displayed near the buffet. The staff member loudly called out across the restaurant, "Ma'am! Those drinks are not included in the buffet!" The guest looked embarrassed, and another service staff member immediately rushed over to assist her more politely. When we were escorted to our table (Table 25), it was located in the darkest corner of the restaurant. We politely asked if we could move to a brighter table. Instead of responding professionally, the same staff member immediately became defensive and raised her voice, insisting that the restaurant was fully booked with over 100 guests. I calmly explained that we simply wanted to enjoy our evening and hoped to have a pleasant experience. Her response was, "We want everyone to be impressed." I then mentioned that we had already been disappointed after being skipped in line. She immediately defended herself by saying that reservation order had nothing to do with it, before finally realizing I was referring to what had just happened at the entrance. Eventually, she moved us to Table 26, which was much brighter. From that point onward, our experience improved significantly thanks to Khun Bow, who was taking care of our section. She was absolutely exceptional. She knew exactly when to approach guests, never made us feel uncomfortable, and genuinely tried her best to make everyone happy. She continuously brought freshly prepared hot dishes directly to our table, and many other service staff also checked on us throughout the evening despite our table being further away. Their kindness and professionalism truly made the experience much better. The majority of the staff were friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The chefs prepared beautiful dishes with excellent quality, and the restaurant itself deserves praise. My only disappointment was with that one supervisor. Ironically, I even witnessed her loudly lecturing the chefs about hygiene while standing directly beside the food and speaking loudly enough that droplets could easily have reached the buffet. It felt contradictory. I understand that working in F&B is demanding. It is physically exhausting and requires handling many guests every day. However, guests also come with expectations, especially at a well-known luxury hotel like Plaza Athénée. I have enjoyed hotel buffets around the world and at many luxury hotels in Thailand, and I have honestly never experienced service like this before. It is truly unfortunate because Raintree Café has excellent food and a wonderful service team. One person's attitude should not overshadow everyone else's hard work. I sincerely hope the management and F&B Director will take this feedback constructively. The restaurant has tremendous potential, and with better leadership and guest communication, it could easily provide a truly five-star experience. Special thanks to Khun Bow at Table 26. She was exceptional and turned what started as a disappointing evening into a much more enjoyable one. Please recognize her for her outstanding service.

Athenee hotel is the best place to stay in Bangkok for its hospitality, service, location, and, most importantly people at the hotel, the staff. I would like especially comment on Samai, Pornnipa (Noi), the beautiful ladies that took care of me and my room. The made me feel at home while I was staying at Athenee hotel. The room was always super clean, fresh, all my requests were met instantly. Fresh flowers and fruits were in my room. Samai, Noi , Niphaphan are the best room attendant ladies in the world. It is not only that they are superb professionals, each of them has an amazing personality you would always want to be around with. Ukis was extremely helpful to guide me through issues I did not know anything about. He immediately found all the information I needed and was always follwing up with me on my progress. That made me feel so much at home, relaxed and save me an incredible amount of time and energy. Ukis gave me exceptional level of service. Boom helped me on so many occasions, to address all my requests in such an elegant and pleasant manner, to include areanging everything fir me when I was packing, such a high level of service. Noi at Rain Tree Cafe was had my favourite juice ready when I walked in in the morning, Noi is extremely nice and guest-oriented. Other ladies and gentlemen ar Rain Tree Cafe were so welcoming and attentive too. Oan at the pool area was extremely nice, welcoming and attentive to all my requests, to make sure I always had what I needed and even more. Dream at the consierge helped me so much to orient and guide me on the issues I neede more information about. Actually, I feel like I was surrounded by the family when I was staying at Athenee Hotel Bangkok. Recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to have a superb experience when staying in Bangkok.
