A Gem!

The resort was perfect in every way. Truly a great find. Stayed one night for a special occasion and wished that it was longer. All the staff that we met were very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and spacious with all that we needed and included a huge walk-in shower. The balcony had seating for two and an amazing view that included a waterfall in the distance - nice to sit out in the early morning. Breakfast and dinner at the Canyon Cafe was very good. Great food and service. We will definitely return for a longer stay, especially to take advantage of hiking and outdoor activities in the cooler months.

This place is beautiful. The rooms are fresh, crisp, amazing lighting, beautiful grounds, and the staff are super friendly! Salvatore checked us in and I was impressed with his utmost professionalism! Salvatore, you will go far in this life! Great job!

If you are planning to sleep during your stay-go somewhere else!

I attended a conference here this weekend and had planned to rest and "recharge". This did not happen, in fact, I left early! I really enjoyed my upgraded room-the large balcony with a beautiful view of the city lights at night. The deep soaking tub was relaxing. No issues with Room Service-in fact, our food was still hot when it arrived. What went wrong? No Sleep, not to mention No REM Sleep! The room that we were in was part of a section of 4 rooms. In fact, if you and your neighbor open the door at the same time, there is a pretty good chance of running into each other. With that said-when your neighbors are night owls (and I mean they stay up all night) and talk/laugh loudly and allow their room doors to Bang intermittently all night-you will not get any sleep, not to mention rest here! I called down to the front desk at about 0200 this morning (and the response was-we will have security look into this). Well, it seems that security was still "looking into this" as the door slamming/loud voices continued intermittently throughout the remainder of the early morning hours. At 0833 this am, I gave up, packed up and checked out-Early! We were planning to attend an awards banquet tonight on the property where some of my colleagues will be recognized, and extend our stay for tonight. While in the process of collecting our belongings, I once again called down to the front desk and was told that security and "leadership" would be looking into this. On my drive home, our full bill arrived into my email, nothing more yet has been said about our night of No Sleep-so I'm guessing that security and "leadership" are either still "looking into this" Or they really don't care-?. My husband actually got up during the night and went back home ahead of me. There's No Excuse for this! Isn't a Resort suppose to be a place of Relaxation And Rest? For anyone interested in what just One Night of interrupted sleep does to our body-read the evidence-based book by Matthew Walker, PhD, entitled "Why We Sleep." Because my husband and I value our health and appreciate the benefits of sleep, we will Not be staying here again anytime soon. Thankfully we live in Tucson and we could go home!

The atmosphere at this hotel was amazing. We loved walking to the waterfall and also enjoying the pool. Dinner and breakfast at the resort was exceptional. The room was roomy and nice. The only issue I had was the bed. It wasn't as comfortable as I would like and aggrivated some mild arthritis in my hips.

A Beautiful Stay

The spa was my favorite. Monika’s massage was so relaxing and services with Emily were exactly what I’ve been looking for. My mom loves this spa and the hotel. She’s had issues with the description of the rooms and what is in the rooms but it was solved this trip. They offer an upgraded room with a sofa…but we learned the rooms don’t have sofas. The “adult” pool outside the spa does not have cocktails but quiet and you can do laps. The pool behind the hotel is nice, lots of seating, nice staff, tasty food and drinks. A nice trail to a waterfall and lots of trail signs about plants and animals. I’d really like 1 measuring stick next to one saguaro cactus to really show the height of these amazing cactus’. Breakfast and coffees were good and dinner in the bar the first night was nice and staff was enjoyable. We even tried the Flying V, and it didn’t disappoint. Got a reservation same day in the morning. Sat on the patio near sunset. The hotel looked so pretty. 3rd & 4th floors have the best views 😉
