The Merrion

The Merrion Hotel exemplifies elegance, gracious hospitality, and sophistication. I was made to feel genuinely welcomed even at 5 o’clock in the morning. It enjoys an outstanding location with an easy walks to Saint Stephen’s Green and the national Gallery of Art. What I enjoyed most while staying at the hotel is the remarkable art collection. The hotel offers with a wonderful appreciation for Irish history, art, and culture. My sincerest compliments to Ms. Carberry, Ben, and the entire team at The Merrion. You represent the very best of Irish hospitality. The Merrion is more than a beautiful five-star hotel., and would return without hesitation. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking an exceptional stay in Dublin.

Having stayed at many of the wonderful hotels in Dublin, we find The Merrion to be hands down our favorite. Maybe it's the "old" charm, perhaps the fact that it's a little more low key than the other wonderful hotels nearby but it's absolutely the service which consistenly is 10+. From valet to check in to a drink at 23 to any meal including room service to check out, all class.

We had of course expected that The Merrion would be a quality hotel and it exceeded our expectations in every respect. On check in our suite was not ready but after a very pleasant drink in the beautiful garden-quad, we learned that we had been upgraded to the Bridal Suite! And that was exceptionally nice. It was beautifully appointed, with all amenities that might be expected. Housekeeping was attentive and subtle, delivering an excellent experience. Top marks to them and (presumably) Maintenance too: for example, we did not see one blemish on paintwork anywhere. The service generally, from Reception, to Concierge, to the Restaurants was wonderful. Everyone was polite and discreetly keen to assist and made us feel that nothing could be too much trouble. The food (and drinks!) were everything one might expect and more. Beautifully presented, fabulous preparation, quality products and utterly delicious. The Hotel is well situated, close to everything that you might want but not in the tourist trap. Very highly recommended.

We especially want to thank the polite gentleman, for his warm hospitality.The breakfast: Delicious, rich, and with plenty of options to start the day right.The bar: The staff at the bar were extremely polite, helpful, and always attentive.

Absolutely stellar hotel. Amazing service. Great food and drink. Lovely grounds. And such a comfortable and attractive room. Wish I could move in.
