The Merrion
Upper Merrion Street
Dublin 2, Ireland
Myself and my husband treated ourselves to the five star steal package in the Merrion instead of giving each other both birthday and Christmas presents. It is such a great idea as we made fantastic memories and this will now be our tradition going forward. I can’t conceive of any other place that could match the Merrion for its magical qualities. As part of the package, we dined both nights in the Garden room. The food is delicious and fantastic value for money in a capital city. I would say the best choice to dine out when in Dublin. We had a lovely waitress who remembered me from October when I stayed there with my friend to celebrate her birthday. The staff in number 23 treated us as family as we relaxed in the cosy atmosphere with an open log fire. We availed of the spa area for the first time and it is intimate and relaxing. We will definitely do so again on our return and book spa treatments. Our room was beautiful and an oasis of calm and tranquility. We slept so well, no noise from other rooms and the bed was just so comfortable. We loved the room so much we had breakfast there each day.Breakfast is so substantial there was no need for lunch! When inside the Merrion it is as if the rest of the world does not exist and you are in a cocoon of serenity where your every need is catered to without being intrusive. Merrion Hotel , you are my favourite place in the world!

Absolutley excellent experience from start to finish. We stayed here as a group of 4 girls just before Christmas. We had 2 adjoining rooms which was perfect! The staff were so attentive and highly trained without being over the top. The hotel was so comfortable and the attention to detail was amazing. We will definitely book this again for our annual Christmas night out!

Stayed here for 2 nights , beautiful hotel. Anniversary occasion and they had a bottle of champagne in room which was a very nice touch . Staff are very attentive but maybe a bit too much at times .. sometimes it’s just nice to sit for a second without been asked for service . Came here as a couple to check it out for future trip to bring our young children for a few days , although they stress that it’s a child friendly hotel I don’t know how it would really work out . Maybe for teenagers yes but personally I don’t think it’s a place for younger children. The pool and spa was again spectacular, very quiet and tranquil , I just think bringing kids there would go down well with other guests . I know they have adult only hours so maybe it could work but personally I’d feel on edge with children having fun in pool as it’s just not that kind of place . This is my personal view . Again beautiful hotel, could not fault it in general but more suited to couples and retirees looking for a place to unwind and relax . Staff were lovely . Would I go back yes but again as a couple

A refuge of calm and luxury with my daughter. Time to relax, chat, eat and chill in the warm and friendly environment of the Merrion, our home from home. All the details are right, the staff are all welcoming and friendly, the surroundings so relaxing and enjoyable and the food is just delicious. Our favourite it the calm oasis of the pool and spa. We just love taking a few days out here and we are always charmed anew.

Just a perfect location with lots of charm. Five minutes from St. Stephen's Green. This is an expensive stay but it is worth it especially given the price point of other Dublin hotels. The staff is wonderful especially Barry at the front desk who made my wife and I feel very welcome at 5 AM on a cold and rainy morning.
