We did not have a good experience. We arrived at 4pm. Our room was not ready until 6:45pm because they couldn’t get a NBA team to leave. Several other guest had the same problem, and again the next night when another team arrived. When we finally got our room they could not find all of our luggage they were holding for us. When we got to our room it had a strong marijuana smell. The front desk guy came in and smelled it. He acknowledged the strong smell. He said they have a contract with the NBA and they just charge them a smoking fee. Problem was not just our room but the entire 4th floor was filled with marijuana.

Check in time is 4 pm. However, they are so grossly understaffed — check in time was closer to 6pm. Having a formal tuxedo dinner event at 6 pm., and paying north of $600, we are sick. The mansion, the Ritz, or the Stoneleigh are far better choices in Dallas. And to add insult to injury, they charge $70 got parking and their drinks are miserly and way over-priced.

My sisters and I stayed at The Crescent in August. This review could have been a four until I was double billed. The hotel was beautiful and the hotel staff was wonderful. We enjoyed the bar however they were lacking quite a few basic items, but we made the best of it and that wasn’t a big deal. However, two months after our trip, I get a charge on my credit card for $1142.59. This is completely unacceptable. My sister booked the room and paid for it in advance using a third-party. I checked in early and put my credit card down for incidentals so when we checked out, the only charges were the bar and parking which amounted to around $600. That was all because as I stated earlier, my sister had prepaid for the room. That was the end of August and now we’re into November and I get this random charge on my credit card. I immediately called the hotel was transferred several times before talking with Kenisha from accounting and explained what had happened . She took my information and looked into it and said she had to talk with George and would get back to me. That was a week ago. This is pretty straight forward and should have been taken care of immediately. The room was paid for ahead of time. I paid the incidentals. End of story! I should have been credited the same day. Yet….nothing! No return phone call and no credit. So what could’ve been a great review and a return to stay at this hotel has now been soured by misuse of my credit card. I feel like I was scammed. I expected better!

Beautiful hotel in a great location with friendly staff. However, there is virtually no storage space for your belongings – no shelves nor drawers, even in a large suite. Very disappointed in the furnishings of our room, even though they were pretty.
