Roseate House London

Had an extremely disappointing experience staying at this hotel. Our Executive Double room was in very poor condition: stains on the carpet; scratches on the furniture and floor; horrible-looking dust or mould inside the air conditioning unit; and dust on the light fittings including those directly above the pillows on the bed. The room was also noisy at all hours of the night. It felt like the place had no soundproofing. Plumbing sounds (flushing toilets and wooshing pipes) could be heard from the walls of the room. Conversations/thumping from the room above us was clearly audible. During the night the AC unit appeared to stop actively cooling the room. Even when it was set to its minimum of 18°C the room remained warm. The website where we booked advertised the room as being allergen-friendly but the bedding and/or pillows were made from feathers, some of which had escaped onto the bed itself. The whole experience was miserable and we did not sleep well at all. I was determined not to spend our holiday complaining at the front desk (and from the condition of our room I doubted that an alternative room would have been any better) so I waited until we returned home before I contacted the hotel. The manager's details are not published on the website, and an email to their general address went unanswered for 24 hours, so I had to find the manager's details myself. I sent a complaint and asked for a partial refund. He responded to say that my concerns would be addressed and offered a discount on my next stay, but no partial refund. For the prices being charged the condition of the room was unacceptable.

Really nice hotel! The location is really good, Eva and Hamish were very kind and helpful, Eva gave me a historic tour around some areas of the building and very kindly explained to me a lot of interesting details. The room was very nice and cozy, very nice interior design. Mikaela and the staff from the restaurant and bar were also very nice, we had breakfast and on our last day afternoon tea. Very nice experience and highly recommend!

This quaint boutique hotel is a hidden gem in a quiet residential neighborhood that is centrally located minutes from Paddington Station, Lancaster Gate tube station and Hyde Park. We stayed in an executive twin room on the top floor that includes a little mini fridge, coffee or tea maker and a bathroom with a large tub/shower. The first floor restaurant is cozy, convenient and serves good food for breakfast, afternoon tea, dinner or just a drink at the bar. Krish and his staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable, going beyond their usual duties. We stayed 6 nights and they made us feel like we were family. If and when I get back to London, I'll book it again.

I had such a wonderful stay at the Roseate. The location is perfect, nestled in a beautiful neighborhood just minutes away from Hyde Park. The rooms were fantastic and breakfast at the Hyde Bar next door was always delicious. Loredana, Hamish and all of the other staff were so incredibly helpful and friendly throughout the whole stay, they truly made the experience so wonderful. Thank you so much to all the staff for their incredible service and care!

Good location and close to Hyde Park and Lancaster Gate station. kshitiz and Eva were very welcoming, supporting and caring for customers.
