Serengeti Sopa Lodge

We stayed here for 3 nights during our safari which was our hub in the central Serengeti. The newly renovated property is gorgeous and has incredible amenities to take advantage of. We ensured that we mixed in some relaxation time at this lodge during our safari trip. We truly loved the infinity pool with the views. The food was incredible and we were very impressed with the selection of the lunch menu by the pool side restaurant! The rooms were very nice and large, and the lack of A/C was not a problem whatsoever during our stay. The temperature in mid September was cool in the evenings and we were always very comfortable. The large windows that open with a lowered motorized screen helped cool down the room very well. If you are a photographer, you also MUST check out the photo hide by the watering hole. It's an incredible set up to capture some up close photos of animals. I spent just over an hour down there and was able to get some great photos of some Baboons as well as waterbuck. It felt incredibly up close and intimate, and I would say this special moment was one of the highlights of my entire trip. For those browsing the reviews, I would focus on the more recent reviews post renovations to get a true feeling of how guests enjoyed their stay instead of the overall score which will include reviews from before the re-opening. A big thank you to all the staff here who were excellent and provided great service during our stay!

Most enjoyable 2 days stay at elewana Serengeti explorer.excellent location& facilities.staff throughout were friendly and helpful.chef too was always willing to do food we required as we all were vegetarian.special features are cinema room& animal viewing when they came to drink water at a special build pond/ view area.excellent packed lunch during safari.must book this luxury lodge on safari worth all the money paid.good spacious rooms with mosquito nets each night/good room facilities.security guards at night.will definitely revisit a suggestion to management to remove some bed settled in reception with nice new furniture.

Had an excellent stay at this property. Essentially a fully functioning hotel in the middle of the Central Serengeti with close proximity to multiple animals. The staff was so friendly and the service was absolutely impeccable. The views from the pool and breakfast area were absolutely to die for. There was not a single aspect of our stay that did not feel luxurious and our guy Bwide at the restaurant made sure we felt well taken care of. I would not hesitate to stay here again in the future! 10/10

They do not have a 4-1/2 star rating. There was one hiccup that kept me from giving this property a 5 star rating. The location is nothing short of great. The rooms were large, clean, well-appointed with in room coffee. Meals were buffet. Big buffets. Lots of selection. Great food expertly prepared. The one hiccup was laundry. They offer free laundry service for a limited number of items. I put some shirts in the basket and even informed the front desk so they would be laundered and returned that day. Didn't happen. Dissapointed.

Went for our honeymoon, absolutely beautiful property, great food and fabulous staff! Particular shout out to John our safari guide, so friendly and knowledgable! Lucian our butler who was exceptional and so lovely and Esther in reservations who was an absolute dream to coordinate the trip with! We had a magical trip!
