Shangri-La Hotel Bangkok

I have stayed in Shangri-La hotel in Bangkok for 5 days. Overall I enjoyed the atmosphere, the beautiful lobby, restaurants and bars. The pool could be larger but for the central Bangkok in my opinion it was sufficient for refreshment and relaxation. I also liked the gym that was very clean, nicely organised, fully equipped and with the nice view on the river. The room was pretty large, with the nice view on the river. The bathroom was large and comfortable. The breakfast was really exceptional, one can choose from wide variety of European or Asian breakfast options, gluten intolerant guests also have different possibilities of breakfast as well. Hotel has a shuttle boat that sails across the river during the day, maybe it would be nice to have this line woking in the evening as well. Also the hotel is very conveniently connected with the skytrain station. I really liked the stay here and would come back.

Among the three hotels we stayed at in Thailand, Shangri-La Hotel was the best and most memorable. The location is excellent and comfortable, while the staff were warm, polite, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast offered a great variety with very good quality. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we would happily stay here again. Highly recommended.

Our stay at the Shangri-La Bangkok was truly wonderful from start to finish. The staff were extremely polite, attentive, and always ready to help with a warm smile. Their professionalism and genuine hospitality made the entire experience feel special and welcoming. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Although some of the furniture is a bit older in style, everything was well maintained and added a certain classic charm to the atmosphere. The bed was especially comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. Breakfast was absolutely marvelous, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options to suit every taste. It was the perfect way to start each day. The pool area was also a highlight — peaceful, relaxing, and beautifully maintained. It was a great place to unwind after a day of exploring Bangkok. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service, comfort, and relaxing ambiance. I would gladly stay here again!

We stayed on two separate occasions in February, once for 3 days having 'escaped' from the Sheraton and finally for one night before leaving Bangkok for home. We were fortunate to stay in the Horizon Club rooms and they are really worth the extra cost incurred. As always, the service from all staff members, especially the Horizon Club, was exellent. If we could make one comment to improve our views, it would be to restrict access to the Horizon Club entry to adults only. The main benefit of the Club is to provide a quiet environment after a hard day's work or touring around Bangkok's many sights. Young chldren running around exuberantly take away that benefit.

We enjoyed the ShangriLa Hotel for 2nd time. The location near to the river and skytrain perfect! The hotel staff are all incredibly friendly! The breakfast is excellent and you can enjoy it with a river view. Even we booked the horizon club with river view we went for breakfast to the groundfloor. The Horizon Lounge at 5pm is very nice at the 24th floor. The hotel's location is so perfect & you hqve plenty of options for enjoying local bars and restaurants in the evening by walking. We highly recommend this hotel.
