Pine Cliffs Ocean Suites, Algarve

Beautiful setting, amazing views, beach access, spacious rooms, and some genuinely very good food like Corda Café. The staff were also kind and helpful. But overall, Pine Cliffs did not feel worth the price. It has become too big and too crowded — more like a mini town than a luxury resort. We visited in April, and it already felt busy, so peak summer must be much worse. Breakfast was a major letdown: long queues on some mornings, and the same very basic food every day. For a 5-star resort at this price, it was disappointing. I would skip the board options entirely and just pay separately at the better restaurants. For families with small children, Porto Pirata was underwhelming. The indoor pool was also not properly heated as advertised, and the outdoor pools were too cold to use. Worst of all, our first night in the Luxury Ocean Suites was miserable because the air conditioning was not working and the room felt like an oven. To be fair, they did send an engineer the next morning and fix it. Overall, Pine Cliffs looks luxurious, but the actual experience did not justify the cost.

We had an amazing stay at Pine Cliffs Resort. The entire resort is maintained to a very high standard, from the facilities to the level of service. The surroundings are beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for families looking to combine relaxation with a touch of luxury. What truly made our trip special was the football camp with Estima Sport. Our boys had an incredible week there. The program was professional, well-structured, and most importantly, fun. The coaching staff did a fantastic job – they managed to combine development, confidence-building, and pure enjoyment in a way that really connected with the kids. It’s not often you come across such dedicated and skilled coaches. The combination of a relaxing holiday for us and such a great experience for the kids made this a perfect trip for the whole family. We will definitely be coming back.

Superb property, meticulously maintained. We stayed at the top floor 2 bedroom Residences, and it was fantastic: spacious, well appointed, overlooking the verdant golf course will a fully fitted kitchen and utility room and a large wrap around balcony. House keeping and turn down service was excellent. The restaurants were fabulous, the dinner buffet at O Grill with a seafood live station was well worth the effort. Yes they are on the expensive side, but you get the service and food and ambience that you pay for; alternatively, there are many slightly cheaper alternatives outside the property or in the nearby village of Olhos de Agua (5 min by car). Every staff member greeted us with a smile, and were immensely helpful whenever we need one. The property is large, so prepare to walk a lot, or call the hotel buggy or better, rent a car from the Europcar rental services conveniently situated with the resort and drive around. Dont forget to enjoy the glorious sunset at the Mirador champagne or gin bar with breathtaking views of the ruby-red cliffs dotted with pines overlooking the sea, a dramatic landscape where the property gets its moniker from. What an amazing meal yesterday at Corda's, one of the eighteen restaurants and bars at Pine Cliffs. For the first time I tried the fish soup and it was wonderful, really the taste of the sea...For the main course I had the grilled seabass. It was perfect grilled. the environment of the restaurant is calm and shilled.
