We returned to Pine Cliffs in May 2026, this being our fourth consecutive yearly stay. Once again, exceptional accommodation and facilities and amazing service from all staff. The residences we and our friends stayed at were close to the O Grill restaurant and as always, the service from staff and the quality of food was outstanding and could not be faulted or bettered. We will most definitely be returning and have no reservation whatsoever in recommending to others. Truly first class!!

We are finally on our last day at pine cliffs resort (which I never thought I'd say from how amazing our stays usually are). Prior to arrival we had made the hotel aware about my 2 year olds allergies in the hope they would be prepared for our arrival to accommodate for his dietary needs during our stay. We have been abroad multiple times in his short life and this has never been an issue in other countries and hotels. Prior to going in restaurants I would check menus and try and plan what meals would be safe for my son avoiding allergies. On day 1 I completed an allergy form to present at each meal so the kitchen would know what to avoid. On day 4 we ordered food for my son at the corda cafe specifically stating his allergies and being VERY clear on what we would like for his meal to be adjusted to suit his needs. 1 hour after eating he began o cough and wheeze. His breathing was severely compromised, hives covered his body along with swelling and intense itching. He was rushed to the drs and thankfully with some medication and time he started to improve but by this point the damage was done. We spoke with the restaurant following the incident they believe it was down to 'Cross contamination' but they had no proof or record of the allergens that specifically needed to be avoided. We have tried to contact the food and beverage manager on multiple occasions with little response and any response we've had they have lied to us about ingredients used in the food and being unable to produce a receipt showing the allergens. They have made no effort to make sure this did not happen again or accommodate any other meals meaning we have had to result to cooking each day and feeding my soon in the room. My sons safety is a priority and I am sad to say I will never stay here again and for other reasons as to why our stay has been very disappointing this time. If you or your family have allergies I would absolutely avoid avoid avoid. Next time someone might not be as lucky as my son and the care has been disgusting and nothing like I have ever experienced before.

We recently stayed at Pine Cliffs Hotel in the Algarve as a couple and overall had a lovely holiday. The hotel itself is beautiful, with lovely rooms, immaculate grounds, stunning views, and a high standard of cleanliness throughout. The staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which really enhanced our stay. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options to suit all tastes and a lovely setting to start the day. The facilities are also impressive. We particularly enjoyed the 9-hole golf course, the well-equipped gym, and the beautiful beach. It’s worth noting that access to the beach is not particularly suitable for wheelchairs or prams due to the terrain and steps. The sports facilities, including the tennis and padel courts, looked excellent and were clearly well maintained, with coaching sessions taking place during our stay. The location is another major plus. Old Town Albufeira is less than 30 minutes away by car. One tip for future guests: use Uber where possible. The hotel-arranged taxi to Old Town cost us around €20, whereas the Uber journey back was only €6. There were a few negatives that prevented this from being a perfect stay. The biggest disappointment was that there was construction work taking place during our visit, which we had not been informed about before arrival. While it didn’t completely spoil our holiday, we feel guests should be made aware in advance. We also found the resort surprisingly child-focused without having many obvious activities to keep children occupied. As a couple looking for a relaxing break, there were often large numbers of children around the pools and public areas, with quite a lot of noise throughout the day. An adults-only pool or relaxation area would be a fantastic addition for guests seeking a quieter experience. Finally, the food and drink prices within the resort were extremely high. Paying €5 for a can of Pepsi and €33 for chicken fajitas felt excessive, even for a luxury resort. As a result, we chose to eat off-site most evenings and purchased drinks from the supermarket across the road, where multipacks of cans cost roughly the same as a single can within the resort. Overall, Pine Cliffs is a beautiful resort with excellent facilities, wonderful staff, and a fantastic location. Despite a few frustrations, we had a very enjoyable stay and would happily recommend it to couples and golfers, while suggesting families research carefully whether the resort offers enough activities for their children.

I am extremely disappointed with my stay at Pine Cliffs and cannot understand how this property is considered a 5-star resort, let alone part of the Marriott portfolio. On our first night, we arrived to find ants crawling all over the beds in our room. We reported the issue immediately and were told that the cleaning team had been in and dealt with the problem. However, when we returned, it was clear that all they had done was kill the ants. The dead ants were still scattered across the floor and had not even been cleaned up. This is completely unacceptable hygiene and housekeeping standards for a hotel that claims to offer luxury accommodation. To make matters worse, the reception staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful throughout the situation. Rather than showing concern or taking ownership of the issue, we were met with dismissive attitudes and poor customer service. For a resort charging premium prices, the level of professionalism displayed by the front desk team was shocking. The entire experience fell far below what anyone would expect from a 5-star hotel. The fact that Pine Cliffs operates under the Marriott brand is genuinely surprising and raises serious questions about quality control and brand standards. Marriott should conduct a full review of this property, as it is damaging the reputation of a brand that guests associate with high standards of service and cleanliness. I would not recommend Pine Cliffs based on my experience, and I certainly would not return.

Shocking stay at the hotel. Arrived and was checked into a room that was facing a wedding pool party. The noise (with the door shut), meant that we had to shout to hear each other. Reception should have told us upon check in or allocated us another room. We called reception, and they said it was finishing in 5 mins. After 30 minutes, the noise was still loud, so called reception again and after spending 20 minutes on hold, they eventually answered. They said it was finishing in 4 hours, not 5 minutes. Spoke to a guy manager (Ricardo) who said he would look into it. Didn't get a response after 30 mins, so went to reception and he said he would text me as he or Carino would work something out. Didn't get a text and after 5 hours, called reception and Ricardo said he had been busy with other guest. Don't know where Carino was! Apart from noisy room, AC wasn't working properly and needed more tissues (they leave 6 sheets in a room). They offered to move us, which we did and the new room encountered more noise the next day for another wedding ceremony. There is a 'wedding showroom' in the hotel, so hotel is focused on weddings. No adult only pools and lots of children (out of holiday season). I would not return to this hotel as it charges 5 star prices, but provides 1 star service and the rooms are also not as clean as they should be (dirty toilet seats, bedside tables unclean). Disappointing Marriott property

Thank you for a lovely stay at Sheraton Algarve Hotel. We enjoyed it very much indeed. We really appreciated the room upgrade, the bottle of port, and we were most impressed with the property. I must also say that all the staff that we dealt with were very helpful which also makes a big difference.
