Poised on a cliff top surrounded by fragrant pine trees on Portugal's southern coast, Pine Cliffs reflects the country's Arabian influences. Guest suites and apartments are lavishly adorned with intricately carved headboards, exotic tiled walls and delightful terraces for luxuriating in your environment. When it comes to fine dining, choices are bountiful - beginning with O Pescador, which pairs fresh seafood with stunning sea views. Choose to simply unwind in one of many serene public spaces, including scenic patios and gardens.

This resort is beautiful and well kept. It’s calm and quiet. However it’s hugely expensive to do anything at all. Nothing is included. All the activities are charged and I mean ALL including snooker table and kids playground. The food and drink is also insanely priced making is prohibitive to allow yourself and kids to just relax and enjoy.

A third annual family visit to Pine Cliffs at peak holiday season. The accommodation is good - we took a duplex suite in the hotel, families in two bedroom apartments - all clean, modern with good aircon. The buffet breakfasts are good as is the food in the various restaurants. There are always sufficient sunbeds at pools and in the grounds - the beach tends to be full after 10 30am. The beach itself is stunning. There are drawbacks - at peak season Reception can have waits for a free operative and service in some restaurants - notably Pescador - is not up to standard and standard WiFi is poor outside and non-existent on the beach(note to hotel: trying to sell premium WiFi at extra cost really isn’t acceptable these days). Disappointed that the excellent seafront restaurant, Mare, had not reopened after January storm damage at the time of our visit but understand this is now reopened. Overall a very good family resort even at the busiest of times although, if a couple, I would avoid school holidays.

There is a serious problem here that hotel management obviously does not care about: the beach (it’s equipment) and the way to the beach. When you book 5 star luxury resort and then suddenly face it: the cheapest white plastic sunbeds standing very close to each other, small pieces of fabric creating not enough shade, looking very old, that in general leaves impression of 2-3 stars hotel at the beginning of 90-s. The way to the beach also leaves much to be desired: very small elevator or narrow wooden steps and then long narrow wooden path with a lot of steps that makes it impossible to use for families with small kids strollers or people with disabilities. It’s a pity as other areas of this resort are adequately taken care of.

We originally chose Pine Cliffs Resort because of its unique combination of a beautiful high-end resort and the Estima Sports Academy. This combination immediately made the destination highly appealing to us as a family of four. However, after our first holiday, one thing became clear: the Estima Sports Academy is the main reason we returned and why we will be coming back again next year. Benjamin Beaumont and his team of coaches are truly exceptional. Their enthusiasm, professionalism, and positive energy are incredibly inspiring. They create an environment where children of all ages and abilities feel welcome, have fun, and continue to develop their skills. Every training session is challenging, educational, and, above all, great fun. Our children — and we — had the best time. Pine Cliffs Resort itself is also fantastic. The resort is beautifully maintained and offers everything you would expect from a luxury destination: multiple swimming pools, a stunning beach, excellent sports facilities, a variety of restaurants, and atmospheric bars with breathtaking views. The service is outstanding, and the staff are consistently friendly, helpful, and welcoming. If we had to mention one area for improvement, it would be the value for money at some of the restaurants. For example, we found Portofino by MIMO relatively expensive compared to the overall dining experience. Overall, we ended up paying €250 for pizzas, pasta, desserts, and just a few drinks, which we considered excessive. Our children are already excited to return to the Estima Sports Academy next year, and we are equally looking forward to another wonderful family holiday at Pine Cliffs Resort.

We got married at Pine Cliffs Hotel and Resort in the Algarve and honestly it was one of the best decisions we made. We had both our pre-wedding party and our wedding celebrations at Pine Cliffs, and the whole experience was amazing from start to finish. The venue is absolutely beautiful and made every event feel really special. What stood out the most was the team. Everyone was so helpful, friendly and professional, and they genuinely seemed to care about making sure everything went perfectly for us and our guests. The service throughout our stay was excellent and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. A very special shout out to Inês and Joana from the events team — we truly could not have done the wedding without them. They were incredible throughout the entire process, always supportive, organised and reassuring, and they played a huge part in making everything run so smoothly. Our friends and family had such an incredible time and many of them have said it was one of the best wedding experiences they have ever had. We will always look back on our time at Pine Cliffs with the happiest memories. Thank you again to everyone at Pine Cliffs for making our wedding celebrations so unforgettable. We would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a stunning venue with outstanding service and a truly special atmosphere. ❤️

Thank you for a lovely stay at Sheraton Algarve Hotel. We enjoyed it very much indeed. We really appreciated the room upgrade, the bottle of port, and we were most impressed with the property. I must also say that all the staff that we dealt with were very helpful which also makes a big difference.
