Absolute elegance from decor to service
Absolute elegance from decor to service. As soon as you walk in, you can feel the luxury and the warm welcome by all the staff. The staff transported our luggage between the train station and hotel, both ways. A hotel staff also accompanied us from the train to the hotel which is a short walk, but could be confusing for first timers. The hotel is on the edge of town which gives it a bit of seclusion but well within walking distance to the main shops. The rooms are meticulously decorated and super clean. We had a peaceful comfortable sleep, although only for 1 night. Buffet breakfast was wonderful. Shirley and David were particularly friendly and helpful with everything including recommendations for restaurants. I wouldn’t be surprised if the SUMAQ is the top hotel in the whole town. Highly recommend. You must try this hotel if you have the chance.

Highly recommended for a high end stay
Loved our stay at this hotel!!! It’s located at the edge of Aguas Callientes, Machu Pichu allowing it to be spacious and quiet. The staff is incredibly welcoming and attentive to every need, the rooms are spacious, the beds incredibly comfortable (I can’t remember the last time I slept 10 hours!!!!) and the food in the restaurant is delicious. We spent 2 nights and three days here and enjoyed calling it home for that time. I highly recommend choosing the Sumaq if you are looking for a high end stay while in Machu Pichu.

Excellent stay in macchu picchu town so near the bus stop. Staff superb and food delicious from breakfast to dinner. Rooms impeccably clean. Highly recommended

Thanks to Sumaq Machu Picchu for its vision in creating such a tranquil space. If I return to Machu Picchu I would definitely stay here again. And the food was delicious!
