We were warmly greeted by staff and check in was streamless, whilst we drank our refreshing welcome drink. On being shown our room which definitely had the wow factor, we went down to done. Service by our waiter Johann who was superb, he was polite and explained everything we asked about the menu and gave suggestions as well. Dinner was beautifully presented and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

An incredible world class curated lunch paired with local wines and some champaigne to boot! Hosted by the amazing Milagros this was a lunch for the ages created by Chef Teo. If you are anywhere near Machu Pichu you must eat here. Thanks for making us feel so special!

We recently stayed at the Sumaq hotel as a group of 6 friends and had a pleasant experience. The staff was helpful and kind, big shout out to my massage therapist Mary and our waitress at the hotel restaurant Cecilia. Both were amazing and friendly, super helpful. So why the 3 stars? The hotel is clean but it just needs an update. Hoping this feedback comes across as constructive more than anything. For example, the room we stayed in had 2 night stands but you couldn’t open the closet fully because it was blocked by the nightstand. Maybe they need smaller night stands? Also the bathroom had carpet on a step up stair to the tub/shower? Just doesn’t seem sanitary, I’m sure there’s a better solution. The tub has some sort of body mold in it so when you’re showering you lose footing sometimes which isn’t relaxing. With some thoughtful updates this place could really shine hence the 3 star rating. The people are amazing but it doesn’t quite make up for the overall experience.
