Lovely hotel and lovely staff
Beautiful hotel, room and bath were lovely. Had some difficulty getting the heat on in my room. Evelyn from housekeeping was very helpful in resolving the issue. Paula followed up to ensure everything was ok. The restaurant was, also very nice with lots of options. Sorry i did not have time to enjoy the spa.

As a global tour director, I’ve checked into some of the most extraordinary properties across the globe, but the Sumaq Machu Picchu Hotel sets an entirely new benchmark—especially sitting right at the foot of one of the New Wonders of the World. Tucked gracefully just outside the bustle of Aguas Calientes, its location is nothing short of perfection—a secluded, five-star sanctuary sitting right against the rushing Urubamba River, wrapped in the misty majesty of the Andes. Every single detail of our stay was an absolute 10/10. The accommodations are immaculate, boasting breathtaking mountain views, and the sleep quality was hands down the best I've ever experienced thanks to super comfy beds that melt away all travel and hiking fatigue. Beyond the room, the staff was simply amazing, delivering intuitive, warm service that anticipated our every need. Culinary excellence defines this property: the gastronomy is world-class, elevated even further by an unforgettable Peruvian tasting class and an elite mixology masterclass that showcased the soul of local flavors. We'd return just so we could experience these again! And after a long day exploring the ancient citadel, the spa delivers restorative, world-class treatments that completely rejuvenate the senses. Sumaq isn’t just a place to stay while visiting Machu Picchu; it is a masterclass in luxury travel and an unforgettable destination in its own right. Five stars across the board. We will be back with our groups, and you should put it at the top of your list when visiting Machu Picchu.

Thanks to Sumaq Machu Picchu for its vision in creating such a tranquil space. If I return to Machu Picchu I would definitely stay here again. And the food was delicious!
