Find all of the beauty and drama of Venice in a most unlikely place when you check into The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino on the Strip in Las Vegas. With soaring marble pillars, works of art and entire facades painstakingly recreated, not to mention actual canals with singing gondoliers gliding past, The Venetian captures the magic of Italy perfectly. The Grand Canal Shoppes, including some of the most sought-after designer names, and restaurants run by some of most highly regarded chefs, line the canals beneath vaulted, hand-painted ceilings. An 112,000 square foot casino awaits those ready to try their luck at the famed tables, while a variety of activities offer additional diversity. The Venetian is a chance to walk through halls of history, explore the beauty of one of Italy's most famous cities, and to experience the wonders that Las Vegas has to offer - in one spectacular resort.

Sadly, my outfit was taken in my room after I came back from the pool and we went out for dinner, and in the meantime, the room was being cleaned. The next day I went to wear my swim cover-up and it was gone. The Venetian said they don’t take any liability. If their staff takes anything there’s no proof that they took it. This is ridiculous because they are the only ones who entered the room from when I left and took it off till when I went to go put it back on. The sad part was upon checkout. They charged me $168 in resort fees and the least they could’ve done was compensated at this time and taking it off my bill. They explained they needed to do an investigation so we left and waited 30 days for their answer and they came back saying they don’t take any responsibility. Very disappointing they don’t take any responsibility for their workers. It was a very lovely resort, but I would never stay hear again. The customer service is not up to par not at checkout and with their security investigation. Wouldn’t stay here if that is how they treat a customer.

This is an awesome property on the strip - you will be awestruck with the facilities. We were upgraded to a huge suite. There are 40 restaurants and casino in the property. Now the shortcomings- not only is it expensive but also nothing is free. House guests need to buy SPA pass to use sauna or steam. There is no coffee tea maker or water provided in the room. Room service charges $22 for tea! The housekeeping team does not replenish the soap, shampoo which you will expect for a hotel of this luxurious standard.

Second time we stayed at the Palazzo. Room was spacious and clean. Staff were friendly. The restaurants ( 40 of them) were very good. We tried several and all were great. It is connected to the sphere so you don’t have to leave the resort to get to the sphere. Pools were ok. Crowded and somewhat cloudy. Would stay again.

Pros: The Venetian Resort and Hotel is everything you could hope for in a stay on the Las Vegas Strip. A stationery cruise ship. The suites are beautifully-appointed, the variety of shops and restaurants are exceptional, and the casino is well laid-out with plenty of gaming opportunities. Security is posted near the hotel room elevator banks for guest control, and the staff is incredible. Housekeeping are the sweetest people. Tip them for sure. Our suite stayed immaculate. The Gondolas on St. Marks Square is dreamy, as are the painted skies in the Grand Canal. A pretty representation of Venice, with some really nice views if you’re having dinner in one of the restaurants there. All in all- worth a stay if you can grab a sweet deal. It’s pricey here, but I can see why. Cons: The deposit for incidentals is $150 PER NIGHT. Put it on your credit card for sure. DON’T even breathe on the mini bar due to the weight counters. If you even pick it up, you’ve bought it. I like peanut M&M’s but not at $15. Be smart and just leave that stuff alone, and stock your free refrigerator at Walgreens. Self-parking is $20 per evening. On top of the $63 a night resort fee per day. You’d think they’d be a little more giving on parking due to that resort fee. Just my opinion. Terrific experience, one I won’t soon forget.

Nothing quite prepares you for the combination of Venetian artwork, architecture, light, and grandeur, with the Las Vegas casino, restaurants, and tourist attractions. We had a great time, and I would go back there any time. Our room was very comfortable, although it needed some light on the wall opposite the bed, where you put your luggage. There's a chandelier (!) in the living room part, but that wasn't enough. The resort is called Venetian, but it's also Byzantine. We got lost several times. Many staff members gave us directions (e.g., how to get to The Sphere), but no two of them agreed, and we did a lot of walking. They need to upload their information to Google Maps. (Maps has detailed information about actual Venice, including all the little side streets. This shouldn't be more difficult that that.) One thing stood out: every time we passed a staff member, whether they were by the Front Desk or just pushing a cart of laundry down the hall, they smiled and said hello to us. That was very nice. Between the Venetian and the Palazzo, there are at least half a dozen pools. We found one that was in shadow in the morning and with a section big enough to swim laps, which was perfect. Two hours later, the sun hit it (it was 102° that day) and the pool got crowded, so our timing was good. We had a delicious dinner at Matteo's, including an unusual but tasty bruschetta, branzino, and yummy panna cotta.

We have stayed in other Vegas top hotels but we would come back without a second thought. I wish I was there right now!
