Walk down to the sand at Casa Blue with a towel under your arm. Minitas is a short walk from the front door. Four bedrooms sleep eight in a Los Limones villa, with an included cook handling all the meals. The fit: a family who'll move between the beach in the morning and the pool in the afternoon, two couples on a long weekend, or a friend group of eight who came for walkable beach access and a real garden.

Mornings go to Minitas and come back wet, with the kids running in and out for the rest of the day. The long lap pool runs along the back lawn, with a raised jacuzzi at one end for the after-swim. The open-sided gazebo sits a few steps off the pool, terracotta roof overhead for lunch or drinks before dinner. The great room opens through glass doors to the garden, capiz shell chandeliers overhead. By sundown the covered dining terrace seats all eight in the shade.

Casa Blue sits in Los Limones, one of the closest residential pockets to Minitas Beach. Most days the walk to the sand is the morning, the pool is the afternoon, and the gazebo is dinner. Teeth of the Dog — ranked the Caribbean's top course by the World Golf Awards — and The Links are a short cart ride up the road for the round. The Marina is a similar ride for the dressier evening out.
