Slide your bedroom door open onto your own private patch of garden, no one passing through, no neighbour in sight. Casa Bosque is a new contemporary villa in El Polo, where every one of the five bedrooms opens onto its own patio and most of the day happens outside. It sleeps ten, with enough room for two families or three couples to spread across the floor plan and rarely cross paths.

The covered terrace runs along the pool, with a long table set for the whole group at one end. Bar stools pull up to the BBQ counter where someone's already grilling. A TV mounted on the stone wall above keeps the game on while you eat outside. Behind the pool, the lawn doesn't end at a fence — it opens out to the polo grounds, wide and quiet, and most days no one passes through. The kitchen sits open to the dining table, so whoever's pulling drinks together isn't off in a separate room. A second indoor lounge sits behind it for the one person who wants a nap while the others stay outside. Mornings, drinks come out onto each couple's own patio first; by midday everyone's drifted to the same one.

Teeth of the Dog and The Links tee off a short cart ride from the door. Teeth of the Dog is ranked the Caribbean's top course by the World Golf Awards, and tee times go through the concierge. The Equestrian Center is just as close for polo or riding lessons, and the Marina is a short drive when you want a dinner out. Casa Bosque is the villa to book when you want a contemporary base close to the courses and the polo grounds, with everyone in the group on their own patch of green.
