Casa Ceiba sits within the Barranca community at Casa de Campo Resort — a private, tree-lined area in the northern part of the resort where the Racquet Center is 0.8 miles away, Altos de Chavón and Dye Fore 1.5 miles, and the Marina 1.8 miles. The villa takes its name from the enormous centenary Ceiba tree at the heart of its garden — a towering, wide-canopied tree that has become the living signature of the property and is visible from the dining room, the secondary sitting room, and the exterior walkway. The villa's full-height glass walls and open corridors keep the garden — and that tree — in constant view from within.
Casa Ceiba's architectural statement is its great room: a vast open-plan living and dining space beneath a high pitched ceiling clad entirely in warm honey-toned wood planks with dark exposed beams. The walls are built from ivory travertine stone blocks. Full-height glass sliding doors open the entire south face of the room to the pool and garden, and at night the pool's illumination casts blue-green light back into the space. Multiple seating arrangements — white and grey upholstered sofas and armchairs with blue accents — are arranged around burl and live-edge organic wood coffee tables, with large colourful abstract oil paintings hung throughout. The open dining area is anchored by a stone-top rectangular table with dark rattan-back chairs, pendant dome lights overhead, and a credenza with blue ceramic objects. A separate secondary sitting room features a turquoise large-scale artwork, white sofas with teal and gold cushions, and glass doors that open directly to the garden and the Ceiba tree. A dedicated media room with dark tile wall panels and a wall-mounted TV connects through to the garden. The kitchen is designed around a large dark-veined stone island with dark wood cabinetry and large garden-facing windows.
Four en-suite bedrooms each carry a distinct identity. The primary bedroom has a tall upholstered linen headboard, white and grey bedding, botanical framed artworks, and glass doors that open to the pool and garden. The second bedroom is finished in sage green — an upholstered sage headboard, blue and lavender floral bedding, rattan bench, and a large framed mirror. The third bedroom has a white bed frame, navy and teal botanical bedding, three framed blue botanical artworks above the headboard, and glass doors opening directly onto a planted private courtyard. The fourth bedroom carries a warm coral palette — a white planked headboard, coral floral bedding, three coral-framed botanical artworks, a rocking wicker chair, and garden access. All bathrooms are finished in full travertine stone with floating stone shelf vanities, round vessel sinks, and monogrammed white towels.
The garden of Casa Ceiba is anchored by the Ceiba tree itself — a centenary tree of enormous scale whose canopy extends over a large section of the manicured lawn. The pool sits within the garden with sun loungers alongside, directly accessible from the great room through the glass walls. A covered walkway/corridor runs along the villa's exterior. A gazebo structure with shade and outdoor seating provides a distinct outdoor lounge space. The estate's grounds are extensively landscaped with tropical garden beds, ferns, and mature plantings throughout.
