Golf Villa IX

All guests must register with the Casa de Campo Concierge office, and for a small daily fee ($30 per adult per night & $15 per child per night), are granted access to resort areas and amenities. Pull a chair out onto the back terrace and the lawn runs out to the 7th fairway of The Links. Golf Villa IX sits in the Golf Villas IV Phase, on a fairway plot that's deeper than most in this part of the resort. The villa sleeps eight across four bedrooms, with an included cook handling all the meals. It works for a small group of golfers and the family travelling with them.

A covered terrace runs along the back of the villa, and the lawn opens out past it. Two mature shade trees stand between the terrace and the cart path, and the canopy keeps the back of the property cooler through the afternoon. The pool sits in a separate walled courtyard off the side of the villa. A slider opens directly into one of the bedrooms, so a morning swim doesn't cross the main living area. Inside, the long dining table seats around ten. The billiards setup is next door, and dinner usually runs late before the group splits between the felt and the lawn.

Teeth of the Dog and The Links are both a short cart ride from the villa, with green fees and tee times arranged through the resort concierge. Teeth of the Dog is ranked the Caribbean's top course by the World Golf Awards. Minitas Beach Club is a short ride east for an afternoon swim, and the Marina restaurants are easy for dinner. Golf Villa IX is the villa to book when the course needs to be close to the door and the garden quiet behind it.
