At Porta Azul a stone-paved path through tall agave leads to a contemporary four-bedroom in Los Limones, art on the walls in every room. Four bedrooms sleep eight, with an included cook handling all the meals. The fit: a couple with an eye for contemporary art who want a walkable beach week, a family who came for the gallery walls and the pool, or two couples on a long weekend who chose Los Limones over the noisier sea-facing villas.

Mornings go to Minitas — a short walk through the resort to the sand. The pool runs along a travertine deck, the covered gazebo a few steps off for lunch and dinner under the ceiling fan. The main salon opens through floor-to-ceiling glass that folds back to the pool deck. A wall-scale abstract above the sofa anchors the room.
