The cocktail classes were great. Perfect thing to do before dinner. Abraham and Carina were great and made some amazing drinks! Very accommodating, knowledgeable and friendly. The ginger bar had unique drinks you can’t find anywhere else in the report.

As melia circle members it was a rough start to our vacation. The hotels room are old and outdated. Thank God for our concierge, Rodolfo he made sure we were put in a room that didn't make a Hotel 8 look good! Lomg story short they are closing for a well needed remodel so I wont dwell on and on about the poor room conditions. The highlight of this resort is the service. I've been a founding member of Circle predominantly at grand cana and when other members told me about the service I had to go to see it to believe it. They were right. It's amazing. Every staff member from concierge to server to all support staff go the extra mile to make sure you are well taken care of. The changes at the hotel I hope to see made are... Room quality Inconsistent experience poolside, one day beds are covered with circle linens other days none Bathrooms by beach and pool area Members section not on top of kids pool...which is closed multiple times daily because some kid pooped in the pool An actual beach bar Restroom maintenance What is perfect is the staff. Rodolfo from day one went above and beyond for us. Take good care of him! Every night was a culinary feast at every restaurant and the servers made sure you were treated like royalty. Thank you also to the Circle staff who took the time to make sure all of our expectations were met! Thank you and we can't wait to see the remodel in 2026!

WAITERS / BARTENDERS / COFFEE BAR - I want to say - My Goodness these are the BEST PEOPLE at the hotel !!! JORGE FROM LEMONFISH - Jorge greeted us with a SMILE. Always asked if we had any allergies even though we went to eat there multiple times. He made us feel welcome and comfortable for every meal he served us. Jorge is quick on his feet, nice to talk to and very kind and warm. He knows the ingredients of every single item on the menu, how Amazing ! When you get to LEMONFISH ASK FOR JORGE, THE WAITER ! ALEJANDRO (ALEX) FROM COFFEE BAR - Alex knew my special coffee order before I ordered it and called me by my name (same name as his mother's name). Alex was so friendly and nice to talk to. We shared some really great stories every morning at 8am. He expected me there at least by 8am to serve me. They have sandwiches for late night snack and coffee/tea needs. AND THEY ARE OPEN 24 HOURS. Keep up your friendly disposition, ALEX. You are a great asset to the hotel. SALVADOR BARTENDER GINGER BAR 1 - Made some awesome & unusual Drinks and Shots - thank you for our B52 shots, Salvador, and for your nice conversations at the restaurant one evening. Salvador is an experienced bartender and knows what he is doing. LOOK FOR SALVADOR - Salvador is the bars and bar restaurants. AMAYRANI (AMY) MY HOSTESS MALVA BUFFET - Daily greetings from AMY saying my name was a special touch from her (she only saw me 1x and remembered my name the whole time I was there). It was a great start to my day seeing her cheerful face, that I looked forward to eating there. She made my mornings bright. LOOK FOR AMY WHEN YOU CHECK IN TO MALVA. RAFAEL MY WAITER MALVA BUFFET - Always had my sparkling drink ready at my table after I got my morning omelette. RAFAEL IS A HARD WORKER AT MALVA. DINO & GLADYS FROM GINGER BAR 1 - DINO BARTENDER was always nice to us and served us our special cocktails. GLADYS was helpful and friendly. KARINA & ABRAHAM from GINGER BAR 2 - KARINA is one of the first people we met at any of the Bars. Always friendly and remembered our drinks day after day. Our glass was never empty. Karina, thank you for helping with the birthday celebration. Abraham was helpful and friendly. When you get to GINGER BAR 2 ASK FOR KARINA. GUADENCIO BEACH WAITER - Had a very unique whistle and made my time at the beach very pleasant. You always knew when he was coming around when you heard his distinctive whistle. I LOVE YOU ALL AND BEST OF LUCK TO YOU. I TRULY HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL IN CANCUN AGAIN SOON. YOUR FRIEND FOREVER, 💕 PICKITRAVELLER. 💕 I have posted pictures of everyone I spoke about here. We left the resort on May 10, 2025. ROOM - We were enjoying the room lagoon view until the Monday (our 3rd day), Construction going on in the room above us. I complained 3 times during the week about the dust, cement and plaster all over our balcony and chairs which made the balcony ABSOLUTELY USELESS. The construction continued in the room above during our entire vacation. We didn't have water one afternoon when we went to the room at 3pm ! They didn't notify us of our water shutdown, no tub, sink, toilet water. We had to walk to the front desk because our phone was not working. The multiple visits to the front desk took time away from our precious vacation in paradise. Our ROOM faced the Front of the hotel view which is passed the parking lot with lagoon in the distance which was not a big deal - beautiful sunsets from this side not on the ocean side. Pretty quiet during the day; however, far in the distance you can hear the pumping of the music from the disco in the distance at 2am onwards. If you put the air conditioner on at full speed at night it drowns out the sound, somewhat. HALLWAYS - Room service delivery food trays all around the floor of various rooms with fleas on them. They are left there for multiple days and nobody removes them. We had to let the front desk know multiple times. The hotel is HUUUGE but this doesn't excuse the unsanitary conditions. FOOD / ALL INCLUSIVE - Very different choices from buffet to mediterranean to italian to asian. Great tasty food, lots of deserts and fruits and salads. LOBSTER IS NOT included in the All-Inclusive Plan. Top Shelf and certain cocktails ARE NOT included in the All-Inclusive Plan. BALI BEDS - You cannot use them unless you pay $250 per day. You get 1 Lobster with purchase of a Bali Bed. STAIRS - Stairs everywhere ! Inside and Outside. Stairs leading to the pool, stairs leading to the beach. BEACH - SPARKLING TURQUOISE WATER ! I won't be coming back to this hotel unfortunately, although we made some really good friends with the waiters, bartenders and coffee team and would love to see them all again. They will all be displaced due to the CLOSING of the hotel on June 1, 2025 due to major hotel renovations. Some of the staff will be moved to other Melia hotels but most chose to look for jobs elsewhere. So sad :(

Experience at Capella

My boyfriend and I went to eat at Capella during our all inclusive vacation at Paradisus Cancún and we were delighted to have Melvin as our server. He was super friendly and helped us with every part of our dinner. Our experience was amazing and the food was great! The service was amazing and we will definitely be coming back!

Daniel the manager was AMAZING, a true gentleman… And LEO! What a fantastic server, so very attentive. The food was out of this world. This was the second time I have dined here and it did not disappoint! That is a very big deal- consistency is key.
