Beautiful Hotel With Impeccable Service To Match!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Where do I begin? Paradises Cancun has something for everyone looking for a relaxing getaway. As an adult, staying at the Reserve is a must. Our arrival for my birthday trip began with a greeting from our stellar concierge, Rocio . Rocio truly cares about her guests and enriching their experiences at the resort. She went above and beyond what is to be expected. So kind and friendly, she made all of our reservations for us at our desired restaurants during the 4 days we were staying at the resort. She helped arrange my massage which was amazing at the Yhi spa and she alerted us to the complimentary hydrotherapy sessions we received as Reserve guests. Think an aqua massage before the massage! Highly recommend Cecilia who gave me the best massage I've ever had--deep tissue with aromatherapy. Cecilia provided a professional and tranquil spa morning! Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to the spa and the resort-- I spoke to several guests who all agreed that the massages they had by Cecilia were the best they had ever had in their lives. Back to Rocio--she was available to us the entire time we were at the resort and checked in with us often to make sure all was well and we had everything we needed. She told us about everything the resort had to offer! And even booked a complimentary boat cruise for us! It was a delightful sail into the lagoon to watch the sunset that exceeded expectations. Being at the resort for such a brief time, this sunset cruise was a definite highlight-- complete with a live saxophonist. Rocio really tipped the scales as my favorite concierge of all time when she decorated the room for my birthday and left me a personalized card!!! This was beyond my expectations and made my birthday truly special and one I will never forget. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Rocio! You would be an asset to any employer lucky enough to have you and I will never forget our time at the Paradisus because of you! It's people like Rocio that make vacations memorable! The family side of the resort has a ton to offer to the Reserve guests as well as the relaxing Reserve as an FYI in terms of activities and restaurants. Rocio made sure we were aware of all of the daily activities each day and she even made dinner recommendations. We never had to worry about what to do or where to go with Rocio as our concierge. Rocio also arranged 2 days of cabanas for us where we got served food and drinks and could relax throughout the day. Big shout out to Victor who escorted us to our cabanas and got us on the wait list for the third day! Thank you, Victor!!! Tropical paradise was had every day by the pool everyday under the shade of those cabanas. Can I just mention how friendly everyone is at the resort again!?!? Lai made us special bracelets as souvenirs and conducted an energetic water aerobics class and helped out with the hotel foam party which was an absolute blast! If I had a suggestion for the hotel, it would be to keep the activities coming. While, it was nice to have a relaxing stay in the Reserve, night time activities and additional daytime activities would also be welcome. Moises and Gabriella were our pool servers every day and I cannot speak highly enough of them. Always smiling, friendly and never an empty glass! Quick service with a smile, always! It would be nice to have a swim up bar on the adult side of the resort however bartenders like Alejandro were only a few feet from the pool. Alejandro served up delicious libations all day with pizzazz! Moving on to the Reserve specialties--so many to mention! I wish they would bottle up the essential oils piped into the Reserve side and sell them! The greenery and vines throughout the resort combined with the substantial pools and cabanas enhanced the hotel. Walking from the other family side of the resort into the Reserve felt like you were entering a tropical oasis every time you returned to your room! Speaking of, we stayed in pyramid 5 overlooking the ocean. The room was exactly what we ordered: a nice mini bar with soda, beer and water plus snacks all included. There was never a shortage of bottled water which was very nice and if we needed anything extra we just asked Rocio and she made sure we got it! The balcony was large and the view of the ombre teal surf was breathtaking. A lot of guests complained about room temperatures and the property temperatures in their reviews. I did not find this to be the case on the Reserve side at all. Our room was always cool, but if you like it totally icy it might not have been cool enough, I suppose. The common areas in the Reserve were much cooler than the rest of the resort. I love the fact that there was a cafe right in our building that offered coffee drinks, water, soda and alcoholic drinks along with grab-and-go food items, little salads, fruits and charcuterie. Even artisanal chocolates!!! You also had the option of sitting down and having a server at breakfast and lunch. If you wanted a hot sandwich to go for your room they would heat them in the little oven for you. You'll find most of the restaurants located on the family side of the resort. If you want entirely kid free, you will have two restaurants to choose from, one of which is the cafe, and the other a lovely outdoor restaurant overlooking the beach called Sante that does not disappoint! Breakfast and lunch were had at Sante several times and were delicious. All servers were spectacular and if they didn't have what you wanted on the menu they asked you to tell them what you wanted and they would have the chef make it. You must try the seafood at this resort, we had shrimp, fish tacos, sushi, sea bass and whole fish. Never a disappointment. The view, food, and service at Sante were fabulouso! The gazpacho was the best I've ever had! A few other notes of mention about the food. We had breakfast at the buffet once which was okay and decided we preferred Sante. We also ate at Lemon Fish which was my favorite, Sal's and Aquamarina. Shout out to Francisco who worked at Lemon Fish and Aquamarina! Wonderful server! Also Ignacio at Sal's who helped the birthday celebration continue. Small plates at Lemon Fish were delicious and I felt like I was dining in a beautiful rainforest. The options offered at all restaurants were more upscale and right up my gourmet alley, but they did have something for everyone. The up charges were a little outrageous on some food items like lobster tails and steaks at the restaurants. For example, the included steak at Sal's was lower quality and if you wanted a better steak, it was a significant upcharge. The side dishes at Sal's were better than the steak! Best creamed spinach of my life!If I had one suggestion, it would be to offer an inclusive package of these items. If I had to go back to one restaurant at the resort it would be a time between Lemon Fish and Sante, for the food, views and service. The Cancun beach is the most beautiful beach if I've ever seen and we had the opportunity to go in the ocean when it was calmer than the other red flag days. The beach was clean and beautiful with limited seaweed. There were also thatched umbrellas over chaises on the beach with beach drink service offered which was very nice. The last note of mention would be the entertainment at the resort. My advice would be to keep it coming and we enjoyed all of it, especially the live music! Mougel music played great covers and some original tunes on our last night while Erick happily served us thirst quenching cocktails at the Ginger Bar! He served us Mexico's favorite beer--Sol with a lime and was so cheerful all night long! We also did a paint and pour session which was a total stitch! The before mentioned foam party was the highlight entertainment wise! More pool entertainment is always welcome. In conclusion, I must say I would definitely return back to the Paradisus. The luxury I felt for the value was unmatched. The flawless service we received right from the beginning of the trip with Rocio, completely transformed our stay into one of the memorable all inclusive resorts we have stayed at. Thank you, Rocio, and thank you Paradisus staff for your care and attention to detail. I can't wait to return!

The staff are very polite, professional and always helpful. Stayed in a suite on the adults only side and couldn’t have asked for nothing more special. Very clean, well presented and well worth the 5* ranting Flora was my favourite restaurant, it was an amazing experience and the food cooked to perfection by Hose was out of this world, being from London I’m used to top restaurants and bars but this chef and he’s work is truly divine Shushi samba Novokov Sexy fish even Roka don’t get in look in for me ever again Hose keep up your brilliance

Wonderful Vacation

This is a very nice resort. No complaints of the service food or amenities. We ate too much, drank too much and got a little sunburnt. The pool was a little deap for me so I bought an overpriced pool float at the gift shop and I was able to maneuver around the pool with a drink in my hand. Salude!

We had a great time on our recent vacation. This was my third time visiting the resort and this time we brought friend of ours for their first time. We all had a marvelous time. I will be back. 😊

Can’t wait to go back

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

Travelled with my 2 daughters, 9 and 10 years of age. We have travelled many times to various resorts in Cancun, Mayan Riviera and Puerto Vallarta. Some more upscale and some less. The 3 of us thoroughly enjoyed our vacation to Paradisus and this is the first time I’d consider returning to the same resort as typically I prefer to try new resorts each time I visit. Food: I found it to be extremely flavourful, good variety and of ample supply. My kids preferred the buffet, so this is where we typically ate breakfast and dinner. However, we did go to Agua Marina for lunch, and lemon fish and the Italian restaurants for dinner. Both were amazing and I wish we had tried more of the restaurants, but the buffet was the easiest option for my kids. No reservations are needed at the a la cartes. We also ate at the pizza place, had poolside food (chicken nuggets, burger, fries, nachos, quesadillas, etc.) and frequently visited the ice cream shop. Oh and the coffee bar, started every morning with an iced caramel latte. Kids enjoyed the pastries and sandwiches from the coffee bar. Overall we were very pleased with the food and quality. Not sure how or why anyone could/would complain. I overheard one lady by the pool talking about there being no guacamole… not sure how that’s possible as there was always lots whenever we went. But as in typical buffet style, there’s always folks who take more than they will eat, so perhaps that was where some of it was going?! One thing that could improve the dining would be if the a la cartes had a kids menu… this could have made taking my kids to try the various restaurants much easier! But they always found something to enjoy off the menu regardless. Pool: We really enjoyed it. Nothing special but lots of room to swim, float, etc. The little kids pool had 2 foam parties in the 8 days we were there. And the main pool area had the inflatable obstacle course 3 times. Beach: red flags everyday, but we still went for a few swims. Seaweed situation changed daily but was never bad. Definitely not a deterrent from enjoying the beautiful turquoise water! Staff: Amazing. Kind. Helpful. Polite. Hardworking. They often placed their hand over their heart when they greeted us, which made us feel very special and welcome! Hotel: absolutely beautiful. The greenery inside is well maintained, abundant and stunning. Very unique from other hotels we’ve stayed. We were in room 3820 in the main tower (8th floor, lagoon view). The view was fantastic as even though we couldn’t see the ocean, we still had a “water view” which was enough for us! The bathroom tub appeared to be painted to cover up flaws and the door to the room was a bit damaged. Certainly didn’t bother us, but some minor details like this were noted in the room specifically. AC worked great though and we always felt comfortable in our room. The beds were comfy and we all slept great throughout our stay! Being in the main building the shows were quite loud, so I’d say avoid the main tower if you are coming with small children as the shows lasted until 9/9:30pm I’d say. The grounds were immaculate and well maintained. The staff worked so hard each day to keep everything looking great! Entertainment: The shows were very different from other Mexican hotels. No classic Micheal Jackson show lol. Unique shows and performances. We especially enjoyed the Mexican show outside, which included dancing, mariachi band, storytelling, a horse and traditional Mayan dressed performers. On the same night there were Mexican carnival games for the kids, and they won prizes. During the day, there were many adult activities such as macrame class, pottery painting, sound bath, tequila tasting, chocolate making, etc. I only attended the chocolate class, but it is a must for anyone visiting. We learned about the process of growing cacao and then used roasted cacao to make our own chocolate! So cool! The lady who ran the class was awesome and we all learned so much. Such a nice touch to our overall experience at Paradisus! Kids club: This was the icing on the cake. I have nothing but positive reviews about the club, the staff, the activities and the adventures that came along! Typically my kids have no interest in going to kids club and we’ve stayed at some resorts with some pretty awesome facilities (ball pits, slides, indoor play structures, etc.). We have found most resorts don’t follow the schedule posted for the kids club, but at Paradisus, this certainly was not the case! They did everything and MORE! They even brought in a local company to do science experiments with the kids one evening! Such a cool and unique touch! My kids made bracelets, key chains, stuffed animals, dream catchers, went digging for dinosaurs on the beach, made sandcastles, pool parties, played games, watched movies, listened to music, played trivia games, had a Mario cart race in a ride on Mario car (with a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place podium/awards ceremony), made piñatas, and broke a huge piñata with loads of candy. My 9 year old was hooked on the kids club by day 2 or 3, and she planned her day around spending as much time there as possible. A huge shout out to the staff that became like family to us: Azul, Gove, Monse, Nabila, Yolanda, Yami and Bruno. We all shed a few tears when we had to say goodbye. The staff truly made our stay so much more memorable and special. We will never forgot them and all the fun that was had. They will be one of the main reasons for us to return to Paradisus (hopefully soon)!! If you are thinking of visiting Cancun on a midrange budget, this is your place! It’s a gem and worth every penny! Better quality overall than many of the more upscale resorts we’ve stayed!! We will be back and plan to bring more family to enjoy with us!! We miss you all so much!!
